I want to setup Solar System for my house for whole day

Salam o Alaikum,

I am from karachi, and i want to ask you guyz that we currently depend on generators in our house which is costing us alot, we dont have K-E connection yet, but it will be available soon, however we are thinking to setup a solar system for whole day and use generators for night, our requirement is atleast 4-5KVA, we have 2 DC inverter ACs, 1 Fridge for now, 2 LED Tvs, 6 Fans and LED lights and savers.

Please guyz can you tell me would it be good for us to setup a solar system for our house, i think we dont need active batteries for day time, so i will add just 1 battery, we will buy 300Watts panels i think 14-15 panels will be needed, correct me where i am wrong.

Please share your opinions, we are in so much troubles these day because our generators run on gas, and their maintence are also high, they are costing us alot every month..

Get ac option removed..then 3 kva with 24 volt system...battery bank of 12khw is good option...if you want to run 2 ac...then you need 5 kva 48 volt system...a large battery bank will help u overnight backup

bro we will need 220v no ?? i means home appliances run on 220volts usually.

Bro that is ouput of inverter that will be 220
48 v is input of inverter you will have to buy minimum 4 battries to run u need 12 paneks of 320 watt

4 battries are minimum requirement to turn on the setup it will only give you max 2 hours backup on full load

I have installed system in theee sites
If you install 330 watt panels *12 you will maximum get 2.7 kw that too at peak hours like at 11-4 after that it will degrade
Choose inverter wisely so you may have room for further addition later on

I have a proper installation in my home according to the needs you've described. You will need:

• 10 320W panels [I have used Jinko Solar - ~18,000 per panel last year]

• 5KW Infini V hybrid inverter [A proper hybrid inverter ~125,000]

• 4 200ah dry batteries [30,000 each]

The setup is running my entire house without breaking a sweat:

• 2 Fridges

• 6 Fans

• 6+ lights

• Water pump / washing machine / TV, etc etc

• Has extra capacity to run an A/C too, however will run a max of 1.5 ton A/C (inverter) only during peak solar hours.

• In daytime, my house runs entirely on Solar (KE meter stands still) and extra solar electricity production charges the batteries.

• As sunlight goes down, the inverter intelligently manages load b/w Solar and KElectric (or Battery when loadshedding occurs), so if load is 1000w and solar production is 600w, 400w is taken from grid/battery

• At night, inverter switches load to KElectric, bypassing the battery to conserve battery charge for when loadshedding happens. When loadshedding occurs, the inverter instantaneously switches to battery...you can't even tell that the light has gone out.

• Yes, I can run everything on battery power too. Runtime is 7 Hours for 1000w load (60% battery capacity consumed).

However, since you don't have K Electric, you will need a larger battery bank to run throughout the night and more than 20 panels.

How many strings you made and what are the connections
For optimal buy 2 more plates and connect 3 plates in series make 4 Sets of these and then connect these 4 sets in parallel this way you will get most out of your system

Whats the max you are getting ?
Iam getting 3.1kw max

I think I may have gotten 2.8kw max before. Haven't checked again.
