Immobilizer in new honda city (a complete fraud)

hey guys....recentyl the rfid immobilier in my honda city purchased just one year ago stopped working....I went to the showroom and asked for help...to which they sent a mechanic with me....the mechanic opened the car and was able to hotwire the car in 15 minutes bypassing the immobilizer system...I was astonished....I asked them for explanation of all this to which they replied they have outsourced the whole immobilizer system to a third party....it blew my lid I told them what was the whole use of immobilizer system if it can be bypassed and the car can still be hotwired.....to which they started going here and there.....guys there is a big fraud happening in the name of immobilizer....the honda city has no immobilizer...it can be hotwired like any other car.....beware....the rfid immobilizer system is completely useless....

Yes sir. Honda city does not have immobilizer. That thing hanging with the key works as a fob/rfid chip and upon its close proximity car starts. Honda is lying in pakistan about selling immbolizer function in this car.

One thing is i have learned in my past experience is that you can NEVER hotwire a immobilizer car. Best you can do is connect a computer or a skimming gadget to copy immobilizer key codes and use a duplicate key with immobilizer chip.

Honda city now have same key as we had in reborn 2006-2012 honda civic and it had a pocket inside key shell where immobilizer chip sits. Honda is giving same.reborn key with city but has a seperate pouch hanging with is not immobilizer but some rfid/fob key system lol

I owned a city 2014 aspire 1.5 prosmatec which never had immobilizer.

Recently bought an altis 1.6 and cultus 2018 and all of them have immobilizer key and not a seperate pouch hanging like city 2018 lol

Is there any way through which I can get rid of this ugly pouch? I’m awaiting my car’s delivery and already have a nice keyring for it. Don’t care if this is a safety feature or whatever, just want to get rid of it.

Since when Immobilizer became a optional feature?!! lmao!! and what is the difference in price of car with and without immobilizer? jisko dekho buddu bananay mein lagay huway hain!

It is just like a teabag which to me lacks taste and smell!!! after all it is still a tea!!! same is the case of City with so called Immobilizer

toh sahee baat hai yaar....immobilizer kaa faidaA.....aik dafaa hot wiring ho gaee garee kee toh immobilizer kaa faydaa...it is useless....tell people at honda to simply hotwire the car and get rid of that stupid teabag....it is just a gimmick...nothing else...

Presence of immobilizer was made compulsory in auto policy, that's why local manufacturers are offering immobilizer even in Mehran.

But Civic, wagonR, Cultus, swift has proper immobilizer system that you can trust.

in new cars the chances of a city getting stolen is very low compared to other cars
i guess thats the best "natural" security feature it has

nope the car did not start....it was eventually stupid for a car not to start as the rfid immobilizer actually malfunctioned....you would not have heard this with any japanese car...but honda had a first...it was far stupider to see the car actually get hotwired in front of my eyes...and more stupider when i was charged 4000 rupees to get the immobilizer fixed.....so you get the picture...it is useless, worthless and not worth it.....the car is better off without immobilizer....
