Immobilizer Key Lost........What to do now?

Its a 5 minute procedure at hand - but the paperwork takes time. btw - the part where you say the dealer will cut the key by inspecting the lock is very shady - tell them to precut the key from the serration template they have already in the build sheet.

Shady indeed, But earlier he mentioned he doesnt has the steel plate that has the car key cutting code

Thanks a lot Chinoyti for the info but I always prefer proper company 3S workshops over these local self educated mechanics/electritions. I shall InshaAllah get it done from the Company even if I have to pay a few extra bucks.

-I had the issue that my car lost codes, God knows how but i still had the keys,

-Suzuki dealer ship charged me rs.2500 for programing at that time to the key alone costed rs.9000 and rs.7000

-A guy on Pakwheels bought a baleno which only had one key, he got another key+programing done for 2500 from Tariq road, the thread should be avalible on Pakwheels,

-Any lock smith can make you the key (a steel key that should open doors, boot and move the ignition to unlock the steering) Just by looking at the car doors lock.

BTW< Suzuki Baleno/Liana/Swift come with 3 keys from factory, In Balenos case only one remote and 3 Chip keys, In Liana and Swift, 2 remote keys one standard key with Chip.

In case your cars on leasing, the bank should have the third key get your hands on that key.

My baleno was bought on full payment from central motors rawalpidni. It had only two chip keys and two remotes.......and I have lost all of them alongwith that stupid silver strip. Will get FIR lodged tomorrow and send the application to the dealer.

9K per Key!!!!! Pak Suzuki have already offered me 6K to 7K per key.......aur abhi tou behas (Bargaining) rahtee hai

6-7k is reasonable and my car was crown so I guess for crown its reasonable because Toyota indus had no backup for such cars

my late father had a practice to tape one NEW key to the car's history file, this file contained everything about the car including service details.

Xulfiqar Bahi. Just out of curiosity, Yesterday I called a guy in Islamabad I-10 who is involved in making Immobilizer keys for cars. I asked him about the whole procedure. He said if you have the old key, I will copy it (the codes as well) and make a new key which will work on your car. and if you have lost all keys than I have to attach computer to your car and still make a key for you.......moreover, will also delete the old keys from the cars memory.
I am NOT going to get it done from him but was thinking .......... Is it that easy. If so............Immobilizer fitted cars are not that safe afterall. The safety of such system (Immobilizer) is questionable?

^ Il wait for Zulfiqar bhae answer, but to what i know it as easy as attaching a usb to you usb port and taking it out, the other keys are automatically coded later.

i had two key when my cars recoding was done, and they told me when you go home, just start the car with the third key and youll be good to go.

PS: Old data goes dead once a reprogramming is done, i.e When ever they code in a new key all old codes are flashed.

I understand what youre trying to say.........but my concern is the security of these cars. Its not something fool proof then !!!

Well the coding device/Computer what ever you may call it, costs alot, maybe 70-80k, Carrying it everywhere isnt very easy, But yes its not fool proof, Anybody with it can decode and recode your car. But it wont start by simply hot wirring it or just unplugging the immobilizer module.

The best way is to take out the ignition coils and the ecu and keep it under your pillow while sleeping , Wo alag bat hai the theives start carrying ignitions coils/wires and the ECU's

By the Grace of Almighty Allah..........I found my keys today, Infact my Sweeper found them from a place least expected.

Dear Bro,

You can remove Immobilizer system with software . Its cost is Rs. 4000. And next time if u will loss the key then u can make key only in rs. 100 to 200. That will be not immobilizer key.

If you want the immobilezer key then its cost is Rs. 5000 with key.

Just for info: I recently got duplicate transponder key made for Baleno for 3.1K from Waris Road Lahore. There are 2 workshops that make them(AM Autos and Saeed Denso...but there could be few more that i may not be knowing). AM gave me an estimate of 3.5K with all cutting included and the place from where i got it made(Saeed Denso) asked for 3K plus 100 for cutting groves in the key.Initially he also asked for 3.5K. Just before proceding to them i went to Ali Jan Motors for an estimation. They asked for 8.5K(4K for blank key, 2.5K for programming and 2K for paperwork like sending ownership documents to Karachi which was basically bulllsh*t demand considering you can get duplicate key made very easily from outside). And honestly keys that are made at Waris road are EXACT copy of origional, appearence wise.

I used to live at UK once, I have faced this situation many times. Our family car once have this situation. No need to worry about. All is to get replacement key. cut it according to your duplicate key. There are several programming techniques for your new keyless remote.
If you google it you will find the right steps.

Its normally like press the remote key and unlock your vehicle, Keep pressing your key open button and put it in steering lock, Switch it to Acc. In next ten seconds your have to press other lock key while led on key remote flashing. Your key is programmed for this vehicle.

Steps on all makes are little different, But process is similar. Its not a rocket science. People in Pakistan might charge you 5000 - 10000Rs only for this trick of programming. You can search it on web. Alternatively you can buy programming instructions for your vehicle on E-Bay. They sell it for 2 - 5 quids , 10 - 15 quids with new remotes.

I have lost the second and last key of Suzuki Baleno. Suzuki Baleno is fitted with an Engine Immobilizer.
I dont even have its key no........
Please help and guide If anyone have had this experience before........
What should I do ? Whom should I talk to? What would be the estimated time and cost involved?
