This is a very sad incident and reflects on so many aspects of negligent areas in our society.

Why didn't the warden ask the driver to follow him to the hospital with his siren on? Once at the hospital, the warden could have done his due diligence. It may not have prevented the patient from dying but would have avoided the situation we are in right now.

It is quite possible that people in the car were not even aware of rescue 1122 service since they were not residents of Lahore. Let's not blame them for something we don't even know to be factual at all.

^^from wat i know, 1122 is for entire punjab...
warden cudnt leave, cuz they probably have only one bike and if they take that, no other left to follow rule breakers. Apart from that strictness about not leaving the duty area...

i think warden is right that they came back after the person died because there was no reason to impound the car on breaking signal he had already made the chalaan ... . .... IN THE WHOLE WORLD THERE IS NO RULE TO CARRY ILL PERSON IN UR BACK SEAT AND BREAK AROUND THE SIGNALS .... that's what ambulances made for ...one can easily kill others by breaking the signal to save his own person ..how would u justify that... in other countries people prosecuted even when they went through the red lights to let the ambulance through.....

In the whole world rescue ambulances are available on one call unlike our nation so we have to take these kind of steps inorder to save a persons life.

the best option for them in such a situation was to call for an ambulance. Rescue 1122 have their emergency stations everywhere and I have seen them reaching to emergencies in minutes.

I don't know how practical it would be but another option is to stop by a traffic warden or inspector and tell him the emergency and ask him to escort your vehicle to hospital on his motorbike. There are usually more than one wardens as seen at most of the signals, one directs the traffic and anther one closeby on a motorbike.

Breaking the Law in emergency is wrong.

anywhere in the world ( may be other then subcontinent of India, Pakistan, Bangaldesh, SriLanka ), Patient in an emergency is no reason to over-run the LAW. ( Period )
