Info required about mazda rx8

FD2 is the new civic Type R right ? ...... if it is then she is one mean car , the gears are too close and the engine constantly revs in the power band .

FD2 will own RX-8 R3 in drag race , but RX-8 R3 will winfrom FD2 in circuit battle , Hmmmm but still it will be a close race .

FD2 (or actually FD2R) is the new Type-R Civic. Even around the track it eats the RX-8 despite being an FWD. There are videos on youtube of the FD2R beating the S2000 around a track by professional Japanese drivers, if it can do that, the RX-8 is nothing. The S2000 is a pure unadulterated sports car.

I personally think all sports cars should be RWD and I'd pick the S2000 any day over the RX-8. But for the pure thrill of the drive between an FD2R or RX-8 I'd probably choose the RX-8 because around a corner an RX-8 is a lot of fun.

yep - and the oldschool carby RX7 I used to feed that still lives, at the time of my ownership I used to put PSO 2 stroke with super petrol (it was very good, no deposit, no smell/varnish etc) - and over time I beleive it helped to clean up the engine too - because it used to start more quickly after half a year's use.

Now the gearhead owning it puts Emarat 2 stroke which he got from me. And caltex delo 400 in the engine itself - as it does a wonderful job of cleaning up the engine insides

i never knew rx8s were that much high maintainence .... shukar hai main nay nahi lee as i would have been using it as a daily driver ... never the less they look stunning

Longevity of the engine is the main thing here. I'll gladly sacrifice a fuel filter or an injector compared to an engine which costs 350,000 for a rebuild or swap.
