Installed Power Steering in Charade (Pics)

Hi All,

Before a sad event in my life i installed this steering in my ride.

The old steering was fine with new ends and rock ends but i wanted this upgrade because of hard charade steering.

I bought steering for 5000 Rs without giving the old steering from Sultan ka Kho. It was in very good condition.

Expense details.

Whole steering with Pipes and all 5000.
Kharadia 500.
Mechanic spent whole day on this project took 1500.
I had to change A/C and Main pully because the HPS pump'S Belt is not V type. so that was for 1500.
Other expense including oil and all 600.

Do comment.

While searching for puly i saw a guy who had Charade Megnet type distributor just like brand new for 3000 Rs and i was out of money and yesterday i went back to buy that and its sold i tried but us condition main aur nahi mila.

why u didt worked on the orignal 1

Because the normal power steering box is different from the power steering one.

And this isnt new its Qabli or used but it was in very good condition as per my mechanic.

Not much alteration needed just we needed to do a little alteration to steering Cross and one of the mounts on steering box.

so that was for a charade only or can be fitted to any car in such range

was .orignal charade stearing is very hard

Gud Job, I also wanted to install one in my corolla 82, but since it is rear wheel drive plus its steering box is not giving any problem so i droped the idea

good going, keep oil level accurate to avoid overpressure of oil and rubber leaks.

Its a hectic job i mean to setup this we had to detach a lot of things including engine main gadery (spell) and a lot more things.

A/C and PS Pump mount also needed to be changed that also wasted some time to find same exact mount.

Overall i am very much satisfied old steering was like trucks steering and now its so easy to park the car in crowded places so that will save some more calaries and add more weight to my over weight body.

Tomorow i will be flushing out the oil and putting in fresh oil and also my mechanic says he is not happy with the oil botle so he will service that as well.

As you can see the fitting he tried his best to make it as original as possible also made sure i dont face any oil leaks problems in future.

I am happy to see parts of charade available in market few days ago i went to janjua autos sultan ka kho and saw original dashboard of G11 charade that was in outstanding condition he was asking 17000 Rs for it.
