Intake Manifold for 96 Civic

Have anyone ever installed Intake Manifold on 96-98 Civic EX? what is the best place to have this installed in LAHORE? some expert? so my parts dont get screwed-up.

i had to replace my 99 civic's intake manifold (its a d16y7) gasket last year so i had to disassemble and re-assemble it. i dont know where in lahore but if u want some tips as how it is done...i can give u some pointers.

Ya I heard alot about MAX power, how much is labor charges in PAK, it has to be less than US. well seems like I am going to MAX Power.

Now my second question is PAK civic 96 exi is D16y6, am I correct on that??

@fazimoto, yes go to max power, its best!! dun go to prince in gulberg, ppl mite say go to "max power" gulberg since max power's actual owner only helped make prince since prince is not max power, the actual max power is in defnese n the owner is umer, hiss ph number is 03008405011, tell him that ahad gave u his number....n yes labor here is very cheap, u can get an installation of a cat bak in 350-400 rs

@szuberi - No bro my bad, I have not even started yet, my car is in PAK, all these parts are in chicago with me, I will be visiting PAK in Sep06.

im not sure that the 96 civic exi had a VTEC motor or not? i think that the VTI did but not sure about the exi.

d16y6 is a 1.6 SOHC VTEC tough.

All exi's till date are NON VTEC (atleast to my knowledge)

all exis are 1.5 nonvtec .

and the list you mentioned is pointless if you're also looking for a turbo , just get a turbo kit and forget the rest of the stuff

@petercharsi sahib - all that stuff is for 96 ex, so is 96 civic ex D16 or D15?? I might eliminate turbo but not the other stuff i have bought already.

if all EXi models were 1.5..then its likely they had the D15? i am guessing here....

boosting a non-VTEC motor is known to be better cuz VTEC usually messes up with the turbo anyway (auto valve adjustment)....it does work fine but u loose top end capacity which u wouldnt otherwise with a non VTEC.

peter...(lol i love ur nick)...only a turbo kit wont cut it....cuz the kit doesnt come usually with fuel rail, bigger injectors etc.and some other stuff that may be needed depending upon the setup.

Its odd, US 96 EX is 1.6 D16 and PAK 96 EX is 1.5 D15, hun, so I should buy all parts for 95 EX D15. f****d-up.

let me give an input here

For the civic in the US, EX is the same as Pak Vti
I am referring to the 96-00 Ek civic models

Yes Vti come with the D16y6 engines Vtec Sohc
where as the Lxi and Exi come with the Non vtec versions

On top of the Vti is the SiR b16a Dohc Vtec, in US its the Si

@sir - thanks bro - then US 96 EX parts would not fit PAK 96 EX, is that correct??? should I buy US 96 LX 1.5 parts to fit in PAK 96 EX??
Now its getting very confusing for me to buy the right parts.

I think my AEM big brake rotors are not ganna fit PAK EX. that was $350.00
