what is the name and model no of your current modem. It looks very different to me. I have seen many router modems and this sort of stats are peculiar for me. Specially SNR Margins (0.1 db) 199??

if you use ADSL 2+ instead of adsl 2 you might have speed improvement.

Some time on my side modulation "T1.413 Enabled" works best for videos.

PTCL complaint registration people at 1218, know your problem well , But they always try to deceive you in technicalities like

Noise Margins
attenuation

They are trained not to admit their own problem, 99.99% problem is always at their side, But they always put ball it in your court.

If joints are properly made , joints live for always, These joints if done properly according to books have nothing in attenuation. This is my personal experience, They might cause resistance when very high voltage are applied but in normal stuff its not the problem.

SNR Margin (dB): 9.0 35.3
Attenuation (dB): 51.0 35.1
Output Power (dBm): 16.3 12.1
Attainable Rate (Kbps): 1212 987
Rate (Kbps): 509 125

Look the injustice they are doing with me, My attainable speed 1212 Kbps but they are down grade me on 509 Kbps. I am paying for 1MB.

Output Power (dBm): 16.3 12.1 if you look at this field, this is what exchange has to set for proper speed, It the amount of the power which is need to throw signal away, if you are away it should be higher like 19 - 20 even I have seen 25.

PTCL is so bad

most pathetic service provider in the world and award goes yo non other then PTCL...

Thanks Aref , with your kind help we figured an "AN 1020 25" with Rev 2. It is amazing to see what this REV 2 is. I have same modem/Router which is different from yours internally may be Motheroard and Software.

I have been looking for optimum setting for my ptcl router on different local websites but couldn't find any.
The guy who came to hook the internet up at my house was not very expert in what he was doing.
He had no clue what option to check and what to uncheck.
Or setting values like MTU etc.
I think those can be adjusted to make the internet speed a bit better.

Never mess up with MTUs over PPPOE. It will give hell of pain. you might find some speed improvement like 3 - 5 % only. But your frame size cause html tags to display information wrongly. Most of the pages looks mis-aligned and lot of information failed to display on same page.

On PPPOE = MTU 1492, changing this cause lot of problems, This is what I have faced myself. It took me months to discover what is causing. So stick with default value.

Lot of speed improvement software do this as well. Result is HTML messed-up. So careful who are planing to do so.

Great stats for 2MB, your speed is little above 2MB. Only Ping is little slow. But better than mine. I have 220 msec normally.

this also came after email to PTA as one harami ptcl officer lives near my home and he is the real devil of this area in every thing he is EVIL but one email to PTA
he came to senses now pori gali ka net na ho but mine will run as
