Please share your experience, which connection do you have, 4G lte or broadband, ISP, your city, commited speed and average speeds you're getting in peak and off peak hours
Because I did research but unable to conclude which ISP is best in pak
So your reviews required please

In Lahore, Jazz 4G works best. Zong has coverage over most of the areas but it struggles in some places.
Never went into details and calculations of speed but Jazz is quite fast and works well.
In Faisalabad, Jazz and Zong both work good

please don't give a generic statement. I have used Telenor, Jazz and Zong and trust me it all depends on your area. e.g. At ghazi road i used to get 30mbps on zong, while in johar town near emporium, it barely gave 2mbps. Same with Jazz, in one block it gives a good speed and while in other, its crap.

So my suggestion is to first test the speed in that area before buying as if there are a lot of users, you will get very low speed and there's nothing you can do.

My experience is also very similar.

Jazz 4G works great, however, in my home in Lahore, near the link Hall Road area, it struggled.

Zong 4G worked great at my home, however, at some places, it also struggled.

At the and, I would also say to first test and confirm which services work best in your area, and then buy.

All services may not work and provide best services in all areas.

I have a very strange experience with Zong 4G Wifi USB device.

To give an example, if it is providing best services in my living room, after some time, it will stop providing good speed, and I will have to change its direction / orientation, like flip by 180 degree.

Then after some days, it will stop providing good speed in this way too, and I'll have to change its direction. If its placed in North direction, then I'll have to change its direction, like towards South, East, West, etc, change orientations, change rooms / locations, and again repeat the drill after every few days...

I then switched to PTCL Broadband services, and stopped using Zong altogether...

Zong chalay to Bohat Zabardast chalta hai, na chalay to bilkul hi reh jata hai (and same may be true for others too)...

Those in Lahore should consider getting stormfiber instead of PTCL. and its cheaper, better customer support and fiber comes directly to ONT.
Those in Lahore should go for Nayatel for same reasons above.

I got it installed via some promotion, I think, last year in November.

Total installation charges were 5,000. I got it 30% OFF, i.e. paid 3,500 only (Details: https://ptcl.com.pk/Home/PageDetail?ItemId=446&linkId=1029 )

No charges for smart TV device, if I keep it for 02 / more years, then no need to return to PTCL, after disconnection / termination of connection. If less than 02 years, device to be returned to PTCL. In both cases, not even a single Rupee charge for smart TV device.

Speed 8Mbps unlimited connection, Smart TV and phone.

My current charges, with all taxes, in Islamabad: Rs. 2,830.

(Now speed upgraded to 20Mbps, with just 400-500 Rs. additional charges (haven't received new bill yet, so cannot give the exact figure). Rest, all other facilities same.

The offer came. I received call from 1218, representative told me the details and charges, etc. and I opted for it. )

i got the same call but i did not opt for it as i am always skeptical about these "special offers for a few customers". My problem is that i have a copper line which supports 8mb and definitely struggles on anything above that. Lineman and actual on-ground staff is not helpful so i do not want to put myself in the trouble and mental agony of chasing after them when i do not get the service committed to me.

I live next to a ptcl housing colony and as per my knowledge, ptcl employees get 4mb (or 8mb) connection free of charge so the exchange has no interest in spending money on upgrading the copper lines to fiber as they would not be earning revenue from it through increased sales.

No other internet connection is available in this area due to the same reason as above so i am stuck with ptcl. Not satisfied with ptcl service.

Yes. And it also includes PTCL Phone services, with unlimited calls from PTCL to PTCL, but under certain terms and conditions, and fair usage policies apply.

Hmmm... OK. But my experience is altogether totally different, and good so far. AL HAM DU LILLAH.

May be, situation varies, and depends from place to place.

I was also sceptical that whether they would be able to provide that speed or not, as in the beginning of package up-gradation, I did not feel any difference in speed increase, however, after a few days, situation improved and became much better.

It may also be noted that some months ago, PTCL Exchange and services in Sector I-10, Islamabad, have also been upgraded.

It might also be the reason of good speed and satisfactory services in my area, as otherwise, if load is more, and setup does not have the capacity to manage and handle that load, then services automatically become bad.

Yes so when infrastructure is not able to support the bandwidth being sold by the sales team and they still push the consumer to opt for it only to suffer later, this is called false marketing and malpractice.

Also, the on-ground staff is totally oblivious to what is claimed by customer services. It is a very bad situation.

Are you on a fiber connection? Isb has fiber in many areas so it is definitely better. It pains me to see my copper wire hanging behind my place with broken wire tied together openly at many places with the on-ground staff saying that it does not effect the line quality at all so nothing needs to be done

Nope. In my street and sub-sector, only simple, Copper wire connection is available.

No Fibre optic connection facility available till now.

I threw away my ptcl long time ago and shifted to storm fiber. Haven't had a single issue since then. It's been more then a year now
Earlier, calling and cursing ptcl every week was a norm in my life.

Yes maybe. Hope for the best. They are slowly upgrading their infrastructure in islamabad. I have heard that Fiber is a lot better as it is laid underground by ptcl.
