Did putting a shade on that sunlight facing ac benefit you in terms of power consumption??

Also when you say put a shade on an angle etc you mean covering the outdoor unit from direct sunlight right or do you also mean protecting the sunlight wall with some extra shade as well?

Moreover is fiber glass better or theres a new company providing some German material saying fiberglass blocks sunlight but does not stop the thermal effect for ac. The they charge 6k for the 4x3.25 size and fiberglass is like 3500.

Please advise if shading the outdoor unit showed some Difference in cooling and amps?

These lg units at night stabilize at 5 amps on 26C and at 8-9 amps in afternoon.

i remember it stabilizing at 4 amps set on 24C afternoon when I first got them as weather was like 30C outside. Now it reaches 40C in afternoon so I'm facing high power consumptions at 26-27C. Gree 2 ton takes 5.6 amps at 28C afternoon and its outdoor is placed next to lgs.

Please can anyone tell me is it advisable to keep the fan medium or high in inverter ac? Ac technician says keep it high, whats difference does it make?

I wonder the same. I believe it doesn't make much impact on electricty consumption. However, it's recommended to keep on auto so room humity is removed properly.

Auto fan speed with ceiling fan off.

Best, efficient and most comfortable setting, as it removes maximum humidity.

I put it on first day of use, so did not check difference, but whoever tried it gained significant improvements.

It's not that complicated, just put a green shade few feet away from outdoor unit fan so that it blocks direct sun exposure and also does not block outdoor unit ventilation.

No idea about fiberglass, but this green shade is adequate and economical.

For first 1-2 hour, it's normal to consume high power and after that it stabilises. In 24/7 usage, lg dual inverter consumes ~2-3A less than Gree voila. What's the room size and floor?

Mode: Auto
Fan speed: Auto
Ceiling fan: Off
Air Swing: On (ensure that it throws air at the central area of the room also, and not just one side)

Use of all above, especially auto fan with ceiling off improves power efficiency significantly also. Ceiling fan is worst thing you can use with AC. You are better off using 24C with ceiling fan off than 26C with ceiling fan on.

How about Acson guys ? How is it and the power consumption ratings and cooling efficiency? Can anyone please inform me. I am looking to buy a 1 ton inverter unit and please state what room size its suitable for? I have 12’x13’ space on first floor.

I have a gree 1.3 tons installed in my room on 1st floor here in Bahawalpur. Temps these days are 46-47 outside. Got it on daraz last year for 54k (were cheaper last year plus daraz sale)

Problem is it never make room temp lower thn 28C, even if I set it to 16 for 4 hours. And it also has very erratic behaviour. At 16 with full fan amps go as high as 6A but still room temp remains at 28C.

I normally set it to 26 with fan speed 1 bring amps down to 3 during peak day time. Still room temp remains 28.

I normally set its direction on my bed for comfortable sleep with direct air throw on myself and at night it even drop amps to 2.6. But what do I need to get room comfortable apart from my bed ??

I have a clamp meter for amps and digital wall thermeter. Why fan speed takes amps high is beyond my understanding ??

lol mere to T1 2-4 amps pe akheer cooling kr rahe hain, app ka ghr pe sooraj kuch zayada chamakta hai.

T3 compressors give consistent cooling performance at higher temperature where T1 compressor might only give 90% of it's rated cooling capacity, however to give consistent cooling performance, they consume more power at higher temperatures.

T1 compressors don't stop working at higher temps, only their rated capacity is effected by some percentage.

I don't know how you got to the conclusion that T3 is more efficient than T1, it's the opposite.

I'd like to know if samsung 2 ton ar24ksf triangle inverter is any good? It's for 120k at samsung shop but I was wondering if it'd be any good for 1st floor lounge with intense sun.

LG 2 ton inverter failed to cool this room which is of 350 sqft.

Would you suggest samsung or orient 2 ton or gree 2 ton? I already tried lg inverter 2 ton and it miserably fails to cool the room. I think these imported units of Samsung lg aren't good for our weather and environment.

Please advise what you guys think about samsung orient and gree. I want to go for orient as its cheap considering I already wasted money on lg inverter and it failed. Room is sealed but this ac fails to do its job compared to gree.

I recently bought the 1.5 ton triangle inverter from samsung. It's been working great so far.

Get the 2 of 1.5 ton version of what I got. Triangular version is little bit more energy efficient but has same cooling performance, not worth more money.

One 2 ton is not enough no matter what brand you get, they all do similar cooling, only difference is how quickly they do it and how good the build quality is.

Simple rule is you need 2 tons for each marla or 225 sqft.

If you do want to buy just 2 tons, then go with the floor standing version.

If it's not a stretch I'd have you go with 2 of 2 tons. They will quickly cool the room down and then stabilize around 2-3 amps each.

There are two types of acs when room size is correct.

1 ac at temperature 23 will be chilling and youll feel the huge diff in temperature when you step into this room.

2nd ac will bring room to same temp but room wont be chilled. It will just be comfortable.

Is your samsung the first type or second type? What temp do you set it at and where do amps stabilize?

Don't know what type it is. It stabilizes at 1.8 and never goes above 6.5.
