I am actually buying it from local dealer n cant buy from outlet because m buying it in 2 installments rather in full cash. So i have a doubt that dealer might give me an older model.

N also is there a way to check if ac is gold fin or blue. These two are mentioned in website n ironically blue one is more expensive.

So that makes blue fin better? Or jst a gimmic?

M just confused, is gree alot better than orient, because if i go for gree 18lith 1.5ton,it costs me around 15-20k more than orient. So does this extra cost worth it for a guy like me with limited budget?

Edit: will use it in ground floor, n there's almost no direct sunlight.

W salam.. this is 110v unit.. you have to use a 220v to 110v invertor to run this.. and i bought it from karachi

It's the 220 V > 110 V step down transformer box that you have got with AC not "inverter".

Yes.. i do everything .. by the way my 0.75 ac suddenly started to drawing 4.6 amps .. before it was drawing 2.5 to 2.8 apms..what could be the reason.. cooling is still very good..

I have one packed unit which i will install this weekend..ill send the pack3d pics ina while.. i honestly cant tell which one is better.. both of them are new and with warranty..so probably both will do great! But since gree is 20k expensive so i cant say go for gree..orient might be the viable option for you considering their price differnce.. i dont have any orient inverter ac so i cant compare gree and orients performence..ther3 are many positive reviews of orient in this threas aswell. I too was told gree are overpriced..go for hier or orient..but every second person says get gree..so i went for gree.. the gold fins are there on the outer unit of gree.. gold painted 4 sure..but i think ita just a marketing trick to atract people (persoanl view).. search for gree inverter acs..g10 inverters..youll find many options on their website

weather outside is ok.. 25 to 28 'C.. ac is running on 24 ...dont know why amps are high

One difference I noticed in New gree model is the air flow. In the old 1.5ton 18CITH series, air flow is 850 m3/hr. But in the newer 18LITH air flow is reduced to 800m3/hr. I was wondering if the size of outdoor unit has any relation with the air flow or not.

I was actually asking coooldude for packaging pics n model of orient. Because ppl r usually skeptical abt orient. Gree is what ppl r usually confirm abt like for model or BTUs etc.

But still its good to have pics to be 100% sure

2. 12CITH

They say VITH has 4.0 EER which is bullshit. There isn't much difference, just the design, buy 12CITH and save your money.

Does outer size matters?

I don't think so. I bought Viola 1.5 ton about a month ago. It's outer is huge compared other gree ACs and other brand ACs.
They claim the EER of 4.0 which is bullshit. Calculating from their own specsheet 5275/1620 = 3.25

Outer sizes of all the ACs at my home

1.5 ton Gree Viola VITH
36x14x28=14,112 cubic inches

1.5 ton Gree CITH1S (Bought last year)
33x12x24=9504 cubic inches

1.5 ton non-inverter Haier (8 years old)
31x10x22=6820 cubic inches

1.0 ton non-inverter Orient (15 years old)
31x10x22=6820 cubic inches

So in terms of volume Viola is more than twice the size of Haier but viola consumes more power on full load compared to Haier and they both take same of amount of time to cool the room down.

Operating outside temp for all GREE ACs is 43C while Haier claims 52C.

So I am wondering why should one buy GREE china instead of Haier china. If you wan't to spend good money then I recommend go for LG instead of GREE, or save your money and buy Haier or Orient.

VITH is not new, it was launched last year I guess. Latest model is LITH1 1.0 ton is around 55K. It has wifi so you can control and monitor your AC with a mobile app from anywhere in the world.
