Inverter Type AC in Pakistan (Inverter/Non Inverter Dedicated Discussion)

Okay guys so the heat in Karachi has gotten unbearable to the extent that I now feel bad for my both kids. Looking to get a 1 ton AC installed this week. What would be the best bang for the buck? Some member earlier suggested Dawlance but others suggested that it's build quality is bad. More inclined towards a non inverter AC because I don't want to spend 50-60K.

as you have gotten your ac pipes vacuumed, can you advise on how to get it done after the fact that is wasnt done during installation?

bosch 1 ton is for Rs 40,000, on daraz right now. non inverter.

Thanks, they are showing as if it's Germany with the flag but it's actually China, the vendor confirmed in his reply on the same page. Do you think Bosch China is worth it?

bosch is a german company. but everything is made in china. except for some samsungs, panasonics, daikin etc. the highly expensive ACs.

daraz has several reviews by people. buy only if the reviews are good.

this bosch will not come with Copper connecting pipe and wire. will need to be purchased separately.

The best cooling and lowest electricity usage I have seen is of Samsung .starts at 5 ampere and in 15 minutes falls down 1.5 -2ampere .I have the 2018 Samsung model

Bosch appliances that are coming in Pakistan are made in turkey not made in China .

So a 1-year warranty is okay? I tried to find a similar model on the internet but couldn't not sure if they specifically made this for Pakistan

well its quite cheap.

other cheap ac will be unknown enviro etc type.

bosch is at least a renowned company.

i personally am using dawlance inverter for more than 4 years now. i have no problem with it. it has not been serviced since it was installed.

i wash inner and outer once a year without any disconnection.

Yes but importers here are known for bringing products that are obsolete or did not performed well in other countries so just a little curious about this Bosch AC because there is no information on the internet. I will visit the local market today to actually see if they are being sold in the market as well or not and make up my mind. As for Dawlance we have been using their Refrigerator, bought back in 2001 and we have had to get it repaired thrice I think but that could be because of the position where we have placed it there is no air passage there and the heat at the back does not dissipate well (or maybe at all). So I personally don't dislike Dawlance and plus it comes with a 10 year compressor warranty as well.

since it a non inverter ac. i suggest getting the cheapest ac you can find. and do a proper install.

you need to find a used or new...both won't come cheap..you can make one from deep freezer compressor but that will be totally powerless on vaccum still better than no vaccum at all

Buy an old General window AC 1.5 ton in good condition (non repaired), it will cool way faster (they are 52C rated) and better than many new split ac and will cost a lot less.

How's your experience with Dawlance, how long have been using it? Any issues?

We were planning on getting Orient for the Kitchen, now thinking of getting Dawlance. Are these made in Turkey? Did you ever check power consumption in Econo mode to see the actual difference?

So far its fine. I like its cooling even at 27. Its installed on 1st floor with outdoor placed on roof top with no shade.
As for amps no haven't checked it because its installed directly with breaker and i dont have the amp meter to check how much drop does it make at night but i have noticed that during usage of about 3 hours in my room, the air tends to feel a bit warmer compared to when it started. From that i assumed that after the temp is achieved, the compressor does lower the amps in layman term. But i am waiting for my electricity bill. I will be able to calculate the difference from last year when i was using a non inverter ac.

Kitchens ACs are failure, unless you have advanced kitchen chimney exhaust system and advanced non gas operated stove. Without them, they will accumulate so much grease and grime that none of AC will work.

My sister (abroad) has those stove and chimney in her kitchen and AC (General 52C rated 2 ton split AC) works pretty decently and acquires very less grease on coils.

Please get a dawlance 1 TON inverter. it should serve you well.
