2-3A is minimum value and is only achieved during night time, when the outside temperature is already 30-34C and AC is running at 26C for few (1-3) hours.
Inverter AC needs few hours (1-3) continuous operation to lower amps from 8-6-4-2A. It's not that quick to drop down to 2-3A as most people claim here so. It takes time.
During peak temperatures (day time), they will consume minimum 4-6A and if it's T3 (52C rated or higher), they will further lower down to 3-4A, that too after atleast 2-3 hours of continuous operation.
