I am planning for a Kanwood 1 ton. This model.

As a salaried individual i am worried about KE bill. Now my Current Bill is Rs. 5000 a month. this will be the first AC at our home. if i open the AC at night 11 and close it in the morning by 6. Approx how much bill should i see the increase.

I might visit the shop today evening.

i have one my neighbors flat empty as they are out of country (only comes in a year for 25 days) - only Rs. 300 bill came of that flat as all electronic equipment's are off. i will try to connect my AC to it. then this 3 to 4K will be reduced to 2K. i suppose.

Opt for 1.5 Ton, it will be more efficient and will bring more savings in electricity bills as well as being more future proof.

If budget is short, then wait a month till budget settles.

AC will be used for next 5-10 years, so saving 10-15k now by opting for 1 Ton will be far more detrimental in long term, as underpowered 1 Ton will cost far more in terms of electricity bills. Hope you get the point.

I visited the market few days back and noticed that most 1.5 inverters have minimum amps written as low as 1.7, while my old ultron plus has minimum claimed 2.5 amps.

I think with 1.7 amps minimum, no point going for 1 ton at all now. As once the room is cooled down even 1.5 ton can come down to below 2 Amps.

Is vaccuming at negative 25-26 is correct? Ac wala had no stage 2 pump so i ask him to vaccum through fridge compressor and compressor did the job till -26 for 20-25minutes.

Can someone tell me why r134a isn't used in home AC ? I have heard there are some brand that too this but why not all?
