dirt is not really cause for leakage. i pressure wash my ac almost every year.

just did it to my 6 year old dawlance yesterday. immense amount of sludge

infact my gree ac is not cooling (was installed ~ 2015) - two months back same problem and my installer told that gas has leaked and charged 2500/- for topping up it. it worked quite good since then but now cooling is very very slow and it keeps on running and consuming power. i did used it in heat mode during winter season but in that mode also, the heating was not proper after some time period.

One thing i noticed with Dawlance sprinter is that when swing is on, the louver does not swings completely. I say this because there is a direct button which moves the louver 6 degrees on each press and with direct button, the louver has larger swing as compared to when its turned on.

Guys do you have contact of any sensible ac technician in Rawalpindi. Who owns proper tools like vacuum pump etc.

Its probably cuz of moisture / mold on your blower evap fins / coils, filter etc. Wash the inner unit, wash filters and it should be fine.

filter has been washed, I have also use the iclean function of the ac but the smell persists...

I want to buy Reason by Orient 1.5 ton Inverter ac. Is it good ?

Went to buy dawlance sprinter but 2 of my relatives got their PCB board malfunctioned in the 2 years. So didn't buy it.

2nd I was considering Non-inverter too. Shortlisted pel (R22) and orient (alpha beta gamma etc with gas 410a)

Usage 12hours. Room 1st floor. Outdoor will be in direct sunlight ( will cover it)

Does the water drip correctly from drain pipe? There might be a water pocket causing smell due to wrong drain pipe alignment or wrong indoor alignment.

reason is a new series by orient and cheaper than their vanilla series so i assume quality won't be as good. Better buy some tried and tested brand/model

Try washing evap / blower as well. If you have karcher pressure washer, there's a 360 deg nozzle available. That wahes it really well.

I was having same issue. Even though my coil is clean. After 2 or 3 days it's fine now. Smell gone

How would you use pressure washer on indoor unit?

Obviously one has to dismantle the indoor unit to use pressure washer to clean it.

Spray some air freshener on top of indoor unit from where it sucks air it’ll get better for sure.
