Couldn't find the manual power/reset button.

Running on super/turbo didn't have much of a difference yet.

So even if running on turbo mode compressor didn't speed up then most probably there is issue with PCB.

Also make sure to check gas pressure properly because if its low AC would struggle to cool down room. The pressure shouldn't be lower than 120 psi in this weather.

Orient ultron Mega 1.5 Ton used for a month only. How much can I sell it for? It was installed according to specs with vacuuming and everything. I have to shift now and I'm thinking to sell it and buy another next year as 1.5 Ton is oversized for my requirements. It will be dismantled before shifting and I see no reason to get it installed before next summers.

Feel free to sell it but allow me to clarify few things regarding oversized. Inverter can run at lower amps so it will consume same power as 1Ton. 1.5T is in fact better because of bigger indoor and outdoor so better heat exchange and better efficiency.

Agreed and the indoor unit is really huge .Actually I believe it cools the room too fast, and trips when temp goes further down. Like initially during hot days, I used to run it at 30 and after 20-30 min temp used to come down from 31-32 to 28. and after few minutes when temp went down further it trip.
Problem is that not enough moisture gets removed to make room really comfortable. I've noticed that when room temp is 2-3 degrees lower than set temp then it trips. If i lower set temp then again cooling is achieved very quickly that i feel cold but not sufficiently dry. Also it can very easily lower room temp 4-5 degrees within 30-40 min. My room temp us usually at 30-31 degrees during hot days, today during rains its at 27 degrees. I have not turned on AC since last two days.

Use dry mode, it consumes much lesser power than cool mode and reduces humidity really well.

The dry mode works by keeping the fan to low speed and cycle the compressor frequently so overall the evaporator stays quite cold and the low speed air passing over it condenses a lot of vapors.

Poor temperature management. If temp is set to 30 then AC should maintain that exact temp by slowing down compressor and not just drop to 28 or below and trip.
In case you set temp to 25 then it will keep sucking power to lower down room temp to 23 or below which is not economical.

What if lowest compressor speed also cools down the room? I think this is happening as I've noticed it's usually around 2.5 amps

Lowest compressor speed doesn't lower temp down by 3 degrees in just 20 - 30 min.

Guys I am considering moving from my current 1.5T inverter Orient Ultron eComfort to something in the next tier up. This one has not been able to run reliably during the two years I've had it. 16hrs a day usage for 2/3rd of the year so need something heavy duty.
I was thinking of Daikin but it doesn't seem value for money. Anything in between? How about Samsung and what else is available.
I'll try to ensure good installation but need it to run reliably with good cooling in this 16hr daily requirement.
Suggestions pls.

Well the power consumption is usually around 500-600W mark. I don't know if can be any lower.

Panasonic 18tkf, Malaysian Import. Available for 110k. Don't buy the one being offered by PEL bas*****.

Available at Alfateh for 95K, so sounds like a good option. Samsung not a good alternate to this? I don't know why, but I feel a slight inclination to it, since I have had good experience with their other appliances.
BTW I have had very good experience with Panasonic Non-Inverter AC, which is the other room, seldom used but great performance when used.

I think Panasonic will be a better option than Samsung. I would have recommended Daikin but you have already ruled that out. Have heard good about Panasonic (Not the fake/ crap being sold by PEL). Are you sure its available for 95k? Are the prices updated? I got quotes ranging from 110 to 125k on thursday. No less.

Just checked. Its 'cool only' available at Alfatah. We installed a Samsung (triangle design) installed at work place few years back. Its working ok. No complaints but personal preference would be Daikin or Panasonic.

That's the temperature sustaining power requirement. Initially AC runs at much higher amperes.
