so to hai, umeed to nhn hai k kisi ke pas yahan vacuum pump hoga bhi, par koshish karke dekhi.....
or at least some like minded people in an area or city can purchase good quality vacuum pump and manifold. so that in case of recharging and new ACs, they can use collectively.
the maximum can be done is to ask the installer to bring that fridge compressor.

Awam loves to cry. They want professional services and vacuum pumping in literally free price. Anything below 4,000 is free if someone is doing it professionally.

People with proper vacuuming shouldn't charge less than 5 to 6000.

Nobody will pay this amount. Except some corporate clients.

So, nobody does it professionally for normal home users either. As they are usually leeches in terms of giving out money.

Yes even in peak season majority of people want to get installation done in 1000-1500.
I even read someone on facebook complaining that they ordered haier AC and haier charged them 500 for removing old AC lol. Obviously bhai they are only offering free installation, that doesn't mean removal of old AC.

What? I have all my ACs installed on walls and technician didn't have to stand on ladder holding the pump. The pump was placed on ladder/stool.

I see some companies outside giving diy installation kits. U don't need to vacuum lines. Same should be introduced here.

The No-Vac line sets invented by Mr cool are pre-filled with R410A. These could only be installed with specific Mr cool mini split air conditioners.

Just wait. I am sure Chinese will copy these line sets design too and we may see these sold with Haier, TCL, Gree air conditioners.

You can try AC equipment shops opposite DOW medical college(near Aram Bagh). There are 4/5 shops there selling HVAC/AC maintenance stuff. The following shop also had a few units when I visited last month.

Last year in june, I got TCL miracle installed & i am very satisfied with its performance & energy savings.
I got it installed following all.the SOPs including vacuuming with vacuum pump.
For some reason, I am shifting the house & want to remove the AC without any harm i.e. wastage of refrigerant/introduction of moisture into the system.

Plz mention what steps should be followed in order to uninstall the unit safely.

Those who are planning to purchase vacuum pump, should also purchase a vacuum gauge, preferably a digital micron gauge. Vacuum the lineset all the way down to 200 micron and observe it for half an hour to see if there is any significant change.

If you plan to buy inverter, always always install it with a proper vacuum pump. Purging method works for non inverter, R22 gas units. Never in inverters that use R410 gas or R32 gas.

Please go through the main inverter AC thread on pakwheels. It's a continuous discussion on the main forum.
In summary, if inverters are not installed by vacuuming the lines, moisture+air mix with refrigerant, diluting it. This results in corrosion, lower cooling and eventually ends up destroying the unit.
This is only for inverters. For regular conventional AC, vacuuming is not required

Issue is you will be hard pressed to find a technician with vacuum pump. No body has it sadly.
Daikin charges 10 k for installation... Which city are you in?
