Yuan is much stable with just a rupee or two jump in few months time.

State bank under CPEC agreements allowed trading in Yuan during previous govt. Not sure if current govt will continue that or under IMF pressure ban trades in yuan

Guys need help with the purchase of a used Mitsubishi Mr Slim unit. i got this option from some reference with the remarks thats its in mint condition and almost new. its not an inverter and i intend to install it at a place where it wont be used on regular basis. can you guys provide your feedback on this if this 1 ton unit is a reasonable buy in 30K Rs. I had the 1.5 ton model, made in Thailand. It was the best AC ever! Mitsubishi Mr Slim.
If it's in original condition you will enjoy it's chilling air.
Match the serial number on indoor and outdoor as well

need a little help.. I was thinking to buy a 1.5 ton inverter AC and have some options shortlisted:

• Kenwood e-smart
• Gree fairy 1w
• Haier thunder t3

which model would you guys suggest. My priority is durability and cooling as all inverters as efficient.

tbh, inverters nowadays are no more durable, if you search on different forums, this thread, voice of customer FB, youtube reviews, for every inverter, there are multiple issues reported, at the end, I made up my mind to cope with everything, PCB issue, evaporator leaks etc, these are too common, rest is your luck, there might be a leak in 2 months, or no leak or PCB issue in 5+ years

as efficient.

almost all high end variants are 3dc/5dc and efficient, efficiency is not a concern unless you're going for non-inverter or 1dc inverter

I would recommend the Gree. I have 2x three years earlier models 1.5 ton models.

[image][image] Its bottom one 18-cith-12g Im quite happy with it. Great cooling aaj kal heatwave main bhi I keep it at 28 that's cold enough for me. Bill bhi kaafi kam aata hai ever since I got this inverter I just keep it running and let it adjust temp itself, and even then its much less like 30-40% savings compared to my older non inverter split. I run it continuously from 7pm till 9am in morning each day, more on weekends when it also runs all afternoon practically whole day, and my bed…

Probably not the absolute most energy efficient, but cooling is great while electricity consumption is not that high, and customer service is great, so that somewhat covers the durability part.

Their technicians are quick to deploy, and have all the necessary tools. Vacuum pump, gas of multiple types, power washer.

I'll probably keep sticking with Gree just for the peace of mind, similar to buying a local assembled PKDM car.

Choose a 1.5 ton AC that has bigger indoor and high air flow rate. Your room will cool down faster and you could save more on electricity bill.

Small indoors with slow air flow rate just waste electricity. Their efficiency is low.

This is my personal observation and experience.

Need recommendation of AC service guy in lahore, who will service split AC without taking it off?

I've seen youtube videos where they use a cover around the inner unit and then use pressure washer to clean the evaporator without making a mess on the walls.

just an update
In Pak, it's common question "sub se kam kitne ampere leta h?"
after rain spell, temperature nowadays is +-30 in Lhr
lowest I witnessed so far is 153 watts/0.7 amps

when compressor is off, it's at 19-20 watts

and overall, for the last 2 days,
3.5 kwh in 22.5 hours
3.8 kwh in 22.16 hours

That's called AC pipe insulation foam. Its very cheap and commonly available from shops that sell AC installation supplies e.g. ac copper pipes etc. Can also buy it on daraz.
