He might be right as this happens often due to low voltage. My Gree non inverter works fine till 170-175 volts but trips below this voltage and then takes 20-30 minutes to come alive again.

Check ur voltage. If the voltage is below 208v it wont work.i have their eviva 1.5 ton first floor no insulation and due to voltage it doesnt work. Havd a 7000w Stabilizer on it.

If this technology doesnt work at low voltages as it is claimed working on 155 volts then why inverter?

Well price when launched was 85000 but due to the budget gree increased its current c1 range price from 75000 to 78000.calles gree display centre on pia road lahore but still abid market and other r selling at 75000.so viola series is short but tracked down three units in lahore with alfatah electronics they were quoting 90k and i was like its short and when the stock they will raise their prices as well minimum 3k so it will cost 88k anyways my estimate plus 500rs delivery so 88.5k.if it comes at all as first they said 6 june now they say they dont know it any more units will come at all of viola maybe before eid. So need an ac so i lose 1500rs after the budget hike. Homeshopping has it to for 89900rs.so costed me 90k with delivery will share the installation and pictures tomorrow when i get it

It seems that prices gone high after budget as i checked online for prices and haier HQA series unit available for 73k while last week it was for 63k how insane isn't it?

Mitsu is made by orient here, ur right 200w zaida leta hai and if u convert it into amps thats like 8.8 amps if u take power factor of 8.4 . thats due to the bigger fan motor in the viola series.

Panasonic the model 18pkh with r410gas isnt available anymore its oit of stock that i liked with eer of3.6 with warrenty. Panasonic 18pkf is avaliable that uses r22 gas with inverter but amps at startup are 10 to 11 but amazing cooling.. Then there is a black market model of 18nkh that is similar to 18pkh but has no Warrenty and is also 90k. Can't buy without warrenty as yahan kuch pata nahi sub kuch kharab hoo sakta hai.

Bacha gree c1 model uska fan motor dc nahi hai and airflow is less. As my room is upper floor and direct sunlight no insulation. If u have a better option tooh batao bhai will cancel the order. A week back i returned panasonic 18pkf model as cooling ache thee but amps high thee. Mein ne solar aur generator pe use karna hai.

There could be 4 causes of this.
1. Low/High Voltage
2. Low gas pressure
3. Bad compressor
4. Outdoor fan not working

But in your case as you have already mentioned it's low voltage which heats up the compressor and trips it. After some time when the voltage is within acceptable range it starts working normally.

Dear friends i have just purchased a new 1.5 ton kenwood AC a few days back and i normally use it from 10pm to 10am and it works freezing cold.
Yesterday i switched on my AC at 3pm and it worked perfectly fine at startup but just after few minutes its compressor switched off and no coolling at all ....
I checked every thing from remote and also reduces the set tenperature to 18 buy still no luck. After zuhr prayer i switched on my AC and it starts working again freezing cold.

Today i again turn on my AC around 2pm but again Compressor trips after few minutes and never turned on again.
The thing is that i am living on first floor and room open to light from three sides and unit is on roof in such heat .... I specially purchased a non invertor AC because of this issue which was preassumed by myself and also rwcommended by many experts...
My question from all of the thread members is that " are you facing the same issue "
If "yes " then what have you done.
If " no" then there must be wrong at my end and i may contact company warranty .
Will appreciate your feed back on this

So bhai better option batao dont wana spend above 1lac with installation. Because 1lac above on an ac makes no sense.

You obviously have more experience with ACs than me. After wasting time for 10+ days, I bought CITH1 1.5 ton for 79k today. I was also quoted 90K for voila at Al Fateh and an other place but when I saw the brochure, the EER=4 no longer made sense. I was quoted 90k for a samsung model AR18HVF-SE at samsung display center in cavalry ground but didn't get much info online. I was also quoted 88k by panasonic dealer in cavalry ground but don't remember the model.

At one point I was ready to buy Acson AWM20JR for 125k but realized I don't need it as the room I need it for is only 10x10 sqft with only 8ft high ceiling, so even a 1.0 ton would have been enough.

Take a look at samsung models, I bought their inverter fridge last year and it's awesome. I needed the ac urgently otherwise would have liked to do some research on samsung and lg.

My Dawlance Inverter works till 145 Volts perfectly, thoug at 145 it takes around 9amps bt still works.

. Take care of ac n it wont trouble you. Dont take care n even dawlence ac will beat acson in cooling.

Budget Will Also Make Price Diff As Duty Is Further Increased On Air Conditions..Possibly Imported Ones Will Suffer More

Well i have a 5 years old Galanz AC 1.5 ton(non-inverter). Recently changed the room so called an AC technician which dismantled the outdoor unit and installed it to the other room. Previously i did not know much about the Amp meter but was following this thread closely so decided to buy an Amp meter to see how many Amps it was consuming. The first day at install it went up to 9 Amp and then settled at 8. Next day during the day it was consuming on average 11 amp. I was worried about this consumption for obvious reasons. What happened the day before yesterday is that the amps went from 13 to 15 to 17 and then in no time reached to 30 amps. I get worried and immediately switched off the AC. Restarted it about an hour later and again after about an hour amps went from 13 to 16-17 and then to 30. This time i decided to wait so after reaching 30 amps the compressor stopped working and the amps came plunging back to 0. This again happened twice yesterday. The compressor takes about 20-30 min. to come alive again. I called the electrician yesterday as i thought he may not have done the wiring right so he said he will visit this evening. I'll ask him to check the voltage but from the posts above it seems that this may be due to low voltage. Can a 1.5 ton AC consume 30 watts if functioning properly? I did not go for the inverter unit for the same reason as yours: the out door was to be placed in direct sunlight at the roof.
