That may not be actual inverter A/C.

For actual inverter A/C, the compressor of the air con. is designed on the inverter technology.

It might be possible to run a regular compressor through inverter circuitry, but I doubt it would be effective or as reliable as a compressor that is designed to run with a DC inverter.

The inverter varies the speed of the compressor. I'm not sure if a regular compressor can be run like this without damaging it. Internal lubrication might be an issue. Also inverter ACs use the newer and more energy efficient R410a refrigerant, while non-inverter models are on R22.

Comcept inverter is an experiment, it might not be as good as a real inverter AC but the real test would be to see if it makes any economic sense at the end of the day.

I've seen its demo and it does consume less electricity when the speed of compressor is reduced ! As far as reliability is concerned , ill tell u after its installed

Your right, but the speed of this changes with the cooling load capacity and it never switches OFF. The compressor has to be designed for inverter technology other wise all other attempts in this regards are not true inverter technology.

I am not saying that it will be much more efficient or it is more efficient then a inverter A/C!
And the speed of compressor is reduced which makes it efficient and yes it does not turn of the compressor and the compressor can run 24 hours without stopping as this happens when you leave A/C turned on @16-18 Centigrade!

Brother, the oil and gas flow is also controlled with low compressor speed with inverter type compressor; hence a compressor designed with inverter technology truly represents a inverter type air con.
What you are saying will reduce the life of a conventional type compressor once it's speed is reduced (through VFD) due to uncontrolled oil and gas accordingly.

Dear, there is oil in compressor to keep the moving parts lubricated; otherwise if this lubrication is not proper the compressor will get damaged.

Gree 1 ton was bought in 62000 and 1.5 ton in 84000. They have both heat & Cool function. In winters we used same for heating. If you want better than Gree than go for Mitsubishi. 1.5 ton in 1 lakh 27 thousand rupees. If not Mitsubishi than go for Gree only. Don't go for other brands as they consume more power.
Gree 1 ton starts at 880 watts and as the temperature is achieved it settles down to 350-400 watts. Gree 1.5 ton starts at 1000 watts and also settle at around 400 watts. Very energy efficient and ideal for using with Solar power.
I am using them on Solar power. Results are too good. Running whole day FREE.

And how much is the cost of solar system to run ur 1.5 ton gree ?
