Is Suzuki planning to discontinue Swift?

I sold my Wagon R VXL early April and kept waiting for the New Cultus, only to find it an over ly expensive buy. After its launch, I decided to spend the same amount on buying a Swift Manual. However, I haven't been able to find a white/silver one in any of the 4 big showrooms I called in Rawalpindi/Islamabad. The various feedback I got from the sales people at the showrooms was
i) Suzuki will phase out Swift Manual to make room for Cultus VXL
ii) Production of Swift has been halted
iii) There is some issue on the Swift Assembly Line for which it's supply has been stopped.

Could any Pakwheeler suggest if they also didn't find a Swift available?
Should this matter be taken up with the Competition Commission of Pakistan as the manufacturer is forcing consumers to make a choice by creating a false shortage?
Is V2 a suitable alternate to Swift?

i also heard from a friend that only swift auto is available at the moment. manual transmission swift sales halted.
swift failed miserably due to the JDM imports
in the last few months they gave tv commercials to give it a last shot but no luck i guess

Swift failed due to many reason. One main reason is it's high fuel consumption. Otherwise, it was a good deal

swift was selling like hot cakes when petrol was 110 rupees a liter

its just that buyers have become smart now due to JDM cars available

Well the PAMA statistics speak otherwise. Swift saw the highest sales/production reaching 5500/year in the early years around 2010-11 after that one year, it has steadily sold 3000-3500 units a year, while it seems that swift is doing bad, but in the 1300cc segment which was flooded by city and gli, swift has constantly reserved a side spot with 250-300 units a month. The only reason they could stop it is either to bring in a facelift and enhance its price in the 15lac bracket adding air bags or similar features absent in the old swift and creating room for cultus to sell in the under 1.4 million segment above WagonR.

Swift discontinue kr k swift dzire aaye gi. Small sedan with 1.2L engine.

Seriously suzuki has gone mad y would they launch another sedan they already have launched ciaz Its better to get the facelift of swift for pakistan it vl breakdown the vitz market

Swift is a perfect hatch for Pakistani conditions .i love this little thing .. small JDMs have affected many local cars .. ,pricing is the major things at this point ..but nevertheless let this trend prevail for a year or so it might shift due to maintenance or other factors..on the other hand may be some marketing strategy by Suzuki which is always irrational .

I live in rawalpindi and checked many showrooms aswell in march but swift white auto was not available later i was doing a search and came to know that swift is offering navigation i decided to give it a shot. I call several showroom in islamabad but swift auto navi wasnt available i called my friend at suzuki jani motors mianwali and he booked my car and car was delivered to me within three working days. The car is good, already done 1900 km on it by now but i sometimes hear a knock from front left suspension when hit it hard on bump,,,did this to the right but there was no knock from there. Planning to get it checked from authorized workshop in abparah islamabad,, as i have free inspection coupons. Any suggestion?

No cars could full fill Margallas gap,

India kept Esteem along side margalla becasue Margallas size was ideal for labeling it as the executive car.

Cultus was fulfilling the need becasue of its shape. New Cultus doesnt looks like a family car.

If prices reasonably under Honda City, 1200cc Dzire could sell reasonably. If Paksuzuki does it logically.

And if this happens we could see Honda Amaza and Brio in competition to Swift Dzire. This is just my speculation. I hope the best for the Pakistani auto segment.

get a used 1300cc Honda city but if u want a hatchback then Wagon r is the only sensible option buy it in some different color this time

Swift will be love with 1000cc engine. Plz don't discontinue it. The only Suzuki I like.
