Is Swift a good option to buy?

Hello everyone,

I recently sold my Toyota Vitz 2006, used it for around 5 years. Now, I m planning to buy Swift Manual or Auto. My budget is 10 lacs, can be stretched to 11 lacs maximum.

Please, advise. Is Suzuki Swift a good option in this price range? What other options i can consider? My main concern in a car is comfort and ease of driving, I often do trips to nearby cities.

If bought new then its a good buy.I have been driving a manual swift for the past 5 years.
If you buy a used car then nothing can be said about the reliability as a car is only as reliable as its timely maintenence.

You are right bro, but the new unit is way too expensive. I myself also prefer buying new one as comfort, feel and durability of new car is unmatched. In my price range, I only have option of Suzuki WagonR, which is not that good for inter-city travelling. Your thought?

That's the reason I liked Suzuki Swift, Its the only PKDM car which has comfort and luxury. My cousin own this for quite sometime now, he advised me to go for it. average is acceptable if it gives 11 to 12 km/l since its 1300 cc.

Alhamdulillah, yesterday I bought Suzuki Swift DLX 2010 Manual in good condition. The drive is amazing, I really like the power and acceleration of vehicle. Being a user of auto variant for more than 5 years, so right now feeling bit annoyed with manual gear shifting and clutch use. But I think this is temporary, will adjust myself in few days.

Please advised, what things I should check or replace besides engine oil?

Congrats. Do post some pictures.

Give the car a good overhaul i.e. change all the oils, may be get all the filters cleaned, brake pads, wheel alignment etc. Do you have its service record/history? Depending on the mileage you may need to get it's timing belt changed too. Check the condition of the tyres.

Congrats for the purchase. i also bought swift new in 2015 done 60000km till now and every km has been a joy to drive this car.

I have used swift for almost good 3 years. Now i sold mine. It was new in 2015.

Now im thinking to buy another car, believe me my mind didnt accept any other option other then swift again.

In my view, swift is the best product suzuki ever produced. (Have khyber and mehran also)

Other then mileage, its one power pack.

Suggestions : please try to maintain it from suzuki dealership, if not all the parts, just use suzuki original oil (persnal experiemce)

congrats on your purchase. M13 engine of Swift is a very 'dheet' engine with chain drives and almost no maintenance other than regular oil changes. the same engine was used in Liana and Jimny 4WD. its fuel consumption is pathetic but overall its very good. there are no tappets to be adjusted every now and then, no timing belt replacements in short run - but if it has crossed 1Lac Km, timing chain inspected . just keep an eye on oil and NEVER let the engine overheat or then that is the end of it in long run.

Perfect. I'm with same things except oil. Using Liquimoly FS 5w40. Keeping this car from last 2 and half years and can say that enjoyed each second of drive on it.

From where did you purchase liquimoly oil? Heard that, it's hard to find genuine one.

As expected, I wasn't getting good average from my Swift, hardly 7 km per litre. So this weekend, I got the vehicle full tuned up, throttle body service and changed all 4 spark plugs. It looks average will improve.

BTW, what minimum average I should expect from it in city with AC on?
