Islamabad to Multan (current road situtation)

Hi guys. i am going to travel from islamabad to multan, and i need latest road situation information.

My desired route is .. M-2 --> pindi bhatian --> chiniot --> Jhang --> kabirwala --> Multan, i have heard jhang road is newly built but i am not sure about pindi bhatian to chiniot road. is it good or i should skip chiniot route and use Pindi bhatian --> M-3 --> FSD --> Jhang route?

Please advice specially if you have traveled lately on this route.

Travel on motorway till faisalabad. and then jhang.. its best route for multan.
Usually i go to rahim yar khan via toba, lodhran side.
You have to enter multan u can go from this route.. Road condition is ok..

Use m3 route.. Skip pindi bhattian.. Pindi bhattian is not safe anymore ..

Why don't you use multan route for reaching lodhran... once i traveled the route you are telling me.. road was pathetic. now you can skip multan city traffic i guess.. they have built a small bypass type road... along the canal.. i think....

Max time:7.5 hrs if u maintain 120 on motorway

But i'll prefer ISL-LHR-MLT via Sahiwal, road is great throughout and you won't get tired.
Max time:8.5 hrs

In this April, I went to Chiniot to buy furniture. A lot of people advised me not to use Pindi Bhattian-Chiniot road as it is not safe. Hence I went straight to Faisalabad via M3 and then to Chiniot. The road from Faisalabad to Chiniot is newly built and is in good condition.
The road from Faisalabad to Jhang (via Pansehra) was also good when I traveled on it 2 years ago. Members from Faisalabad can tell you about current road conditions.

Yes they have built a small bypass but still due to traffic .. half an hour is wasted to get out of multan.
Advantage of khanewal side is time saving. No doubt Lodhran road is :(..

It's way too much long dear. Lots of traffic on N-5 from LHR to MTN, jhang road is better because traffic is normal.

well car in subject is 1990 lancer .. great and comfortable drive... suspension is in excellent condition .. i often forget to slow down at mid level road/street breakers .. and it passes like butter enough of my ride's tareeef

I also went through this route.. Traffic problem still remains from lhr-sahiwal. road is narrow. and Area of pattokki is also not safe.

Hmmm i think you are right. i will choose M3 --> Jhang route as i also have to pick my bro from faisalabad, earlier i was thinking to ask him to reach at pindi bhatian himself to join me

Best route is m3 route. jhang - kabirwala then multan. Road is also good.

one thing more... i think jhang is in fsd region (cng load shedding schedule) .. where from multan region starts? i am asking this because i don't want to run my car on petrol for a longer period... as last time my mechanic tuned the carburetor for cng ... and engine is knocking on petrol and eats lots of petrol... .. and i dont have time to see mechanic today on cng it runs with it's max power.

I dont have any info of gas loadshedding. ask ur bro in fsd to ask from some CNG station regarding this. I use petrol and diesel car because i have to travel once in a month to ryk. so dont want any tntn while travelling :).

In Multan CNG is not available on Monday and Tuesday I guess this load shedding applies till JHANG or Kabirwalla.

Road from LHR - MUL is excellent while you are coming on CNG u'll find heaps of CNG stations on the way and it's 85% one way.
There's little traffic near Pattoki but still much better then Jhang Faisalabad road.
You can only save 40-50 minutes via JHANG route but road is narrowtraffic is weird.

Put some Hi-octane fuel in it.. and try. aur wese b theres no need to rev engine on low gears on long route.. try this hi-octane method. hope it solves the problem. and go to some other mechanic and tell him this problem. he might solve ur problem.
