Renewed my licence recently, maybe there are some difference in ITP but here in Karachi for new Licence following is in the test/steps.

1) Get driving licence form
2) Fill it and put tickets and medical fee receipt + two photos on it.
3) TEST; Parallel Parking test
4) TEST; Road sign test (you buy a book of road signs and they test you)
5) TEST; Eye test
6) Get you picture taken
7) Receive Driving licence a day after.

PS: If you FAIL the test you are told to comeback after 30 days I think (maybe now its 7days, dont know for sure)

And if you wish to take the hassle free route is as easy as 123, literally!

1) Take Copy of CNIC, 2 photos & Qaid-e-Azam to Agent
2) Get photo taken
3) Get driving licence a day after

its not a difficult test. just u will b asked to move a bit forward along a round about and then u will park it right there where u started in reverse by using the mirrors(DONOT LOOK BACK otherwise u will b failed) and u will b waiting for some more days.
in signals test u will b asked for the meaning of the road signs on touch screen computer. passing % is 70% in road signs.

see how STUPID the test really is.all i had to do was drive a mehran for 30ft and then reverce it into where i started from. they just dont let u look behind, u must use mirrors to see.u can do that if u ve driven mehran etc (i mean not use to drive ONLY gud bigger cars)
my cousin whos driving since 1998 failed this test, cuz all he had driven was civic NEVER drove a mehran.
best time to go wud be to REACH there at 9.

What's their logic behind this? that is totally wrong u should look behind while reversing as u cant see everything in mirrors while reversing.

What's their logic behind this? that is totally wrong u should look behind while reversing as u cant see everything in mirrors while reversing.

dont know the logic but seems like they want to see if the applicant can do the job by using mirrors.cuz i believe reversing by looking back may be easier. its barely a test btw, the only thing this test confirms is that u CAN BARELY make a vehicle move.it does NOT conclude that u are worthy of driving a vehicle on road.anyways, thats how it is!

Its not about being easier to reverse while looking back its about safety, anyways forget about the test my advise to everyone in their daily driving is to look back all around ur car before u reverse and don't just rely on mirrors.

they will ask u how many types of signs are there answer is 3.i told him i swear i never counted them he said u r fail lolz.get the book of signals.it was so much fun when i went there

i failed that test 3 times and on 4th try i got the license lol, at 3rd try i ask them to allow me my own car, i can not drive with mehran, and he told me it is not allow, three girls are there on my 4th test try, seems like college girls, and they are openly allowed to look back without using mirrors, when i sat in the car, i ask him that i will also look behind as like those girls, he smiles and say, yar wo larrkian hy baar baar nahi asakti. lollll

I Passed My Driving Test Today .... Got My KACHA LICENSE , its easy only if you can drive well and r not nervous ... I got 90% in theory test , then I gave my practical test in which they made me to do a curve forward and reverse both ... Always Wear Seat Belt and Adjust your both side view mirrors and rear-view ... because many people adjust right side view mirror only which makes them fail in turning their car properly ....
