I agree that at a fraction of the cost this truck can take on the HiLux in all departments except a drag race maybe. But the reason why it will not capture the market is because the dealer coverage and spare part supply in remote areas is non existent. but more than that it has zero snob appeal. The black Land Cruiser being followed by followed by a black JAC will draw a "hai bechara" response from the public for the Land Cruiser walla.

Gandhara is not very good at promoting brands. They have mishandled the initial success seen by JAC T9. Their dealers and agents are trying to sell this Chinese truck on own by luring new customers with priority delivery. While those who reposed blind trust in them at the very start were slapped with 0.5 million penalty after the initial 2.5 million booking and now are being made to wait more than two months after the full payment and have to suffer a waiting time in total of 7-8 months. How the brand will succeed? Moreover the price tag of upcoming Chinese trucks by BYD and GWM will make or break this T9.
