Japanese osaka gas heater error 12

Hello,

I have a japanese gas heater. Bought 2 years ago and has been working great till now. Since morning when you switch it on after 15 sec it starts beeping and giving error 12.

What could be the reasom? Gas pressure is perfect just like before

Looks like insufficient air flow. Clean the air intake filter, it is usually a grill (jali) on the back.

If you use an air blower, make sure you obstruct the axial fan using some screw driver so that it does not rotate fast with air from the blower otherwise you may ruin your fan motor.

I am not very sure but I think Error 14 is caused by internal overheat. That means the airflow for hot air is blocked. This could be caused due to various reasons, some cotton/lint trapped inside or a slowed down fan due to a faulty motor.

Does the heater turn on, ignites and gives out hot air ? Is the airflow normal (as it used to be) ?

Take off the rear filter, wash/clean it with water. If you have a air blower, then use it to clean the heater (remember to block the fan with some long screw driver).

If it does not help, post a picture of the heater. I need to know make/model before I can suggest anything further.

Hi. I have a similar function heater as well and it's by Tokyo Gas. It is giving the error code 11.is it because of limited gas supply?

Dear Mr Ijaz. I have Osaka Gas Fan heater, which is giving errors 3 and 12 alternatively. I can make out that there is a relay issue. Sometimes it clicks and keeps working, while sometimes it fails to click and gives an error of 3 or sometimes 12.
Please guide..

Error 3 is tilt switch activation, maybe you have put it at an angle.12 is incomplete combustion. Check air filter

Error 11 is ignition failure. Probably gas is shut from main valve

It means the on/off switch is faulty

ok, i lost the air filter and heater has been functioning ok for 5 days and now it has started giving error code 12. what do you mean by blocking the axial fan? where is the axial fan? all i see is the air vent on the front where a fan keeps spinning

Japanese gas heater was accidetally directly plugged into 220 volts . The fuse and MOVwere burnt which I changed but Error 62 is appearing on the display. Any idea how to rectify.plz help

Hello i m also getting 11 error code on a TOKYO model RN-A930FH it was stored for a year working perfectly fime. Is there any resource that shows how to clean the gas lines Im sure there is dust int he lines thats not letting the gas flow. help will be appreciated for any resources.

Error 62 is blower fan motor related. On the heater and if the motor rotates? Most of the time you have to replace the IC (2 black ICs are responsible for blower motor control)
