Yadgar Chowk on Skardu main bazar road

On the right side of our current location is a second hand market for trekking equipment. AND i mean serious stuff which the big expeditions use for K-2 and other peaks. You will find most amazing trekking boots, diggers, mountain climbing shoes, snow climbing shoes and all the equipment at very cheap prices. The stuff is usually in very good shape. We purchased two pairs which i will show u soon

One of the many checkposts on this road.

This road was in perfect condition as it runs the supply chain for Siachen Glacier army posts. Also, this road leads to Khaplu valley and Kharmang valley which both end at LOC.

Another beautiful place; looked like a rather big village.

This place is near to Shigar Bridge which leads to Shigar valley, Ashkole and then onwards walking trek to Concordia.

The most amazing thing of Baltistan .......... fruit trees all over the place. There are apple, cherry and most common apricot (khubani) trees along side the road and in open farms.

We stopped after every few km, picked some khubanis and then finished those till next tree lol. All fresh and very sweet
