There is a lake 3 km above this village called Kharfaq lake. We didn't know about it so never visited it.

Finally we reached Khaplu.
There is a main bazaar on main road while the actual village is above on the slope of the mountain on right side.

A cricket tournament in coloured kits was in progress on other side of Shyok river. We enjoyed a few overs with zoomed in view from our handy cams
