From the Pics and the description. It seems from the skid marks on the road show they are only from the rear tyre of city which mean it was parked and the odd thing is that the drunk *** driver of the Corolla didnt even touched his brakes, he could have claimed innocent lives. I hope the city's owner will get his brand new car back from the pocket of that mentally & physically handicapped ***.

And you want to compare the losses in this accident because?
This is NOT a head on collision which shows the strength of both cars. The Corolla had a frontal impact which is the designed and engineered to the best standards plus the engine in the middle reduces the exerting force aimed towards the cabin. Where as City has MORE damage because

1) It was stationary [Not moving, thus didnt had an energy to hit corolla]

2) Its totalled from behind where the cross-sectional area of boot space is far less then engine compartment and the boot was "EMPTY" thus the COROLLA wouldnt be facing any problem in crushing the empty boot! Since it had nothing to Stop it.

Comparing the frontal collision of corolla with rear collision of City and then making up a conclusion that City is crap is idential of saying "Apples taste better then Oranges" :S

And i thought we have some automobile guru's on pakwheels. :S

New Corolla Has A Rear beam present in its Rear bumpers Which Absorbs Impact From Behind.Dont know About City but i Highly Doubt that City has Rear Safety Beams.Anyways Bad Accident.

I believe city doesn t have rear beam ..this was done to protect the pedestrians ...so some one who impacts with the car is safe but this feature compromises the safety of the car its self. ... a very weird idea though.

This is a strange and lame idea by Honda considering the fact that one does not drives in reverse. Even if one considers the possibility that this was done to protect people in case the car is reversing out of a parking then still it does not makes sense because

1)It severely compromises the safety of car occupants
2)Any person will still get rolled over and dies when you will be reversing the car

I am horrified by the the statement that civic also lacks this safety beam. Huge safety hazard considering majority of accidents in Pakistan are head on collision/rammed from back type.

And look what we have here, a mubeenshahid clone. except this one supports hondas. LoooooL. Its like white stig and black stig. So what i can understand from his post is that city will survive a crash if only it is hit at the appropriate angle and if the car that hits it is travelling very slow, like 20km/h maybe :P, looool. mubeenshahid we have found ur other half !!!!!!

OMG Civic Also Doesnt Have this beam.It means My Civic Is not safe to Drive.Thats a very lame and foolish Reason From Honda.They considers the safety of people outside not inside the Car.
