Karachi to Lahore - M5 & M4 Motorway Speed Cameras Information?

I am planning to travel from Karachi to Lahore next week.

I need to reach Lahore within 12 hours. For that I might need to increase my car's average speed upto 140 km/h in motorways. Just confirming if there are speed cameras on M5. Can anyone guide me of the exact expected locations where I should lower down my speed under 130?

I have traveled from Lhr to Sukher. Few months back With the average speed of 180.
There are cameras at motorway but that time they weren't working. So i didn't pay any challan.

I did that sector in less than 8 hours from door to door (Lahore Gulberg to Sukkur Hotel One) without exceeding any speed limits. Cruise was set at 120 kph. I stayed at Sukkur for the night but without counting the stop, the overall journey from Lahore to Karachi was done in less than 14 hours in the car. I think this is about the best that's possible obeying speed limits.
It's not worth risking your life and others' lives. Better plan so that you can manage the total journey within above time. You can ask members here for guidance on what time to choose so that you avoid traffic and delays, and keep the overall journey safe.

I travelled from Lahore to Sukkur in less than 6 hours (from Lahore airport to Sukkur toll plaza) with an average speed of 135kmph. I wonder if you are telling the truth about 180kmph average speed and still reach Sukkur in 8 hours.

To @sebali, the original poster: It is easily doable in 13-14 hours with a couple of small stopovers and not stretching the speed limit. You shouldn't and practically couldn't go beyond 120kmph (average) from Hyderabad to Sukkur as it would be too risky given the road condition, traffic (tractors, trolleys, Ching Chee, motor cycles, rickshaw and what not) and also towns every now and then. However, you can easily maintain an average of 130kmph on M-5 (Sukkur-Multan) and then M-4 (Multan-Abdul Hakeem) and M-3 (Abdul Hakeem-Lahore).
I am not in favor of over speeding to put one self and others' lives in danger. What would reaching an hour or 2 early do to your life? comparing what it can do if God forbid anything bad happens?
Broadly speaking:
From Karachi toll plaza (M-9) to Rohri (M-5): 6:15 min (with one stop of 15 minutes)
Sukkur-Multan (M-5): 3.45 min (one stop of 15-min)
Multan-Lahore (Ravi interchange): 3:30 min (non-stop)

Yes there are speed cameras after every 10 kms. Not all of them work but many do

Keep your speed around 125 on motorway and you'll easily reach in less than 12hrs.

Takes me 5 hrs when following the speed limit on the motorway on cruise for Lahore to Rahim yar Khan which is midway to Karachi so should take you about 10 hours anyways this is including two 30 min stops. Fastest i've gone from Lahore to Rahim yar Khan was 3:41 on an empty day and about 2:40 mins for my cousin who is manaiac and i absolutely find such speeds to be stupidity. but unless you have an emergency or are a young driver like me there is no need to exceed 130-140. Just keep slowing down on the cameras u'll see them several km away they are impossible to miss

No a see-vak it's 550 km that's only a 155 average with a 11 min stop. I commute regularly and have all the speed cameras locations and police locations memorized, plus it was the middle of the day when there is no traffic.

160kmph non stop. Not possible bro. Especially on M3 there are plenty of speed cams every now and then.

Yes boss exactly around that. Speed cameras come every 10 km exactly. You can go any speed for 9 km and then on the last 1 km safely slow down to 120. Also there are no speed cameras at all on the dual laner portion in the mid. Also since 1-2 o clock is peak heat you barely have tradfic on the motorway and the overtake lane is empty most of the time

While I don't reccomend high speed driving unless you car can easily handle it which a civic can till 160 (100mph) after which it isn't safe and can be lethal.

your car might be able to handle it but no roads in Pakistan are designed for such speeds. any small bump or curve in road can end in catastrophe. Please do not encourage rash behavior.
30-40 min difference for a 8-10 hr commute doesn't make much difference but the driving style can be lethal.
Public roads are a shared infrastructure and you have a responsibility towards safety of other commuters.

Like i said it is only in a critical emergency otherwise there is no need to exceed the 120 km/h legal enforced limit.

legally we are allowed till 130 as speed ticket starts from 131 at-least on M1-M2 which I have used extensively.

Looking in the pretext of this thread, there can't be any situation where anybody knows that he will have such an emergency after a week, due to which i would be required to drive continuously at 160k's.

No no no. Nope. Just because they don't fine you till 130 doesn't mean it's legal to drive till 130. It's just a cushion they give in good faith to account for human or machine errors.
