Kawasaki GTO 125, Time to Time Small Repairs/Cleaning

Snug fit socket to press lens,

Trying to make lens,

Placed wrist watch glass in the lens holder,

poured epoxy a little diluted.

Cured under table lamp oven @ 60 C temperature for 3 hours.

Assalamualaikum!

I hope this isn't the wrong place to ask, but I recently bought a GTO 125.
The problem I'm facing is that if I go wide open throttle one time, the bike accelerates amazingly. If I try again immediately, the bike hesitates and doesn't accelerate well. If I wait for a minute or two and try again, it accelerates once and then the same problem.

What could it be? Do you have any idea?

Both. My oil tank is leaking, so I don't trust it hence I premix and use the oil tank and pump. I don't know what brand, the mechanic put in the oil, I just bought the bike 2 days ago.

Flopped idea,

Diluting epoxy resulted in a form of gel type thing.

Came out the whole thing easily, sliced easily.

Measured window size, 16.25 mm from inside.

Draw circles in coreldraw 12 with slight size change.

Printed and cut.

checked which fits best.

Took broken piece of plastic from a car's back light. (Accord 84)

Make circles of desired sizes with staedtler drawing tools.

Cut with a cutter, and hand filed to make a tight snug fit.

After a lot of filing,

Near fit size.

Pasted the printed size circle for fine tuning.

And finally with the help of hot air,

expansion of retainer and fitting the eye piece with the help of small hammer and socket..

Now I am stuck at this point.

The window retainer have expanded due to a very tight fit of the plastic.

I tried with hot and cold method, but of no use.

Size difference is around 0.45 mm

Any help from the experts?

.45mm is too large for interference fit. You need to ream out the bore now or file down the retainer.

i know it might be a bit late now but did you try buffing the original plastic thingy with a little bit of toothpaste? i have cleaned headlamps of my car by applying a little tooth paste on it and then gently hand rubbing it with a little water to keep it wet and then cleaning it with a tissue or towel. it removes all the "jala" (scratch) marks from it and also turns yellowish glass transparent again. worth a try.

I am thinking to make an other plastic window and fit directly in the master cylinder hole.

Have left it at the moment, and working on other things.
