Got the car inspected by denter tomorrow and he said every thing in lower body is in place nothing is bent that could cause the problem.
After that went to market and searched for Japanese lower control arm's luckily found a pair of brand new 555 lower control arm's went to mechanic and changed them everything went back to spec's perfectly.
According to mechanic local control arm's were longer(very minor difference) than Japanese one's.

What is the price of Japanese Control arms?
Also, they send the hubs to machinist to resize control arms insert point when you are going for local control arms.
Did you adjust that again?

The price of control arm's was on a higher side i got them for 4800/-RS.
No they didn't do anything with the hubs local one's were removed and Japanese were installed just changed the balance rod/anti-roll bar bushes as they were cheap so i got them replaced too.

Rear Brake Cylinder

The rear right brake cylinder of my Khyber was having a minute leak from the last one year or so. Changed its rubber seals 3 times but to no vain. The brake fluid was damaging the circular plate on which this cylinder is mounted and car used to give grinding noise when brakes were applied. This time changed the brake cylinder. The original NBK Japan was not available. Got one that is made in Taiwan with a name BGF. Later searched this company on internet and seems like this Taipei based company specializes in brake parts and is quite famous as well.

I have also got my car's master cylinder from same company and it is working good.
BTW you changed both or only the leaking one?

Just the leaking one. I was not willing to let go of the original one working flawlessly.

I recently bought 1998 khyber in isb. It has 14 rims and tire by previous owner. I feel it's really heavy on car suspension. Should I convert to original 12 sizes or go for 13 size.. Help

I believe you should go for the stock 12 inch rims and 165/70 R12 is practically a nice tyre on those rims.

Please tell me whether I should purchase khyber. My friend recommended me to purchase khyber for 400k and it wiil be tension free.
My question is if I purchase khyber that expensive will I have to make frequent visits to mechanic?
Further my daily travelling is 130 Km (both sides), will it work?
How is the AC performance in hot summer?

in that u range u can probably get a very nice bumper to bumper original carby cultus .. which will be heaps better .. besides 2003 and lower models are far better than the newer ones ...

I am planning to install alloy wheels in my Khyber. Visited Saddar Rawalpindi and the rims in 12 inch size are not good looking. Very few designs are available in 12 inch size but we saw good variety in 13 inch size. So my question is, can I move to 13 inch size from 165/70 R12? I think the closest one in 13 is 165/65 R13. Any recommendations?

I think the ride will be a little bumpy with 165/65-R13 as the side wall height will decrease a bit.
Aside from that it should not have any other effect because the overall diameter and width will remain the same.

Yes, you a right. If the tyre is soft the ride can be less bumpy. I think 165/65 R13 is Santro's tyre. Will see in detail when I visit again.

In 165/65 R13, few options are available now. Since Santro is not in production anymore, this size is not a market size.
Options are:
1) Dunlop Touring R1 (Indonesia) Rs. 4,500/- per tyre
2) Dunlop ECO (Indonesia) Rs. 5,350/- per tyre
3) Hankook Optimo M04 (Korea) Rs. 4,500/- per tyre
4) Bridgestone Techno (Malaysia) Rs. 5,500/- per tyre
5) Mirage (China) Rs. 4000/- per tyre

I have tried Dunlop ECO some year's back i think at that time it was Made in Japan the tyre was soft and kind of ok but on wet surface lacked the road grip.
Now a day's hearing a lot about Dunlop Touring R1 from friends but haven't tried that myself. According to them it's much better than Dunlop touring T1.
I do have Dunlop Touring T1 on my car and i would say if i compare them with Sonar SX-608 (which i previously had) they are not that good on wet and dry surface.
I think soft tyres will not work good on Pakistani road's and they will destroy themselves due to potholes and those idiot type of cat eyes (suspension and tyre busters) that are being installed everywhere.

Yes, the authorities are stupidly installing cat eyes in the middle of the roads. Last week visited Jhehlum from Rawalpindi and they are every where on GT road.

I have also heard good reviews of Dunlop R1 but they are smuggled. Dunlop ECOs are imported through proper channel, hence they are expensive here.

By the way Sonar Primax tyres are performing very well in this rainy season. Inquired about them as well but they are not available in 13" size.

I was visiting Metro Cash n Carry Islamabad for some other stuff when I saw good collection of alloy wheels in 12" size. These designs are not available in this size in open market. Luckily they had a promotion in which they were offering 10 % discount. I was very reluctant to go for 13" rims and tyres so bought them on the spot.

Are these alloy rim's same in width as of steel rim's.
Steel rim's are 4j.
