It'll be clear by mid 2021 whether we'll get cerato or not. By that time, the facelift will have launched globally and kia lucky might launch facelifted model. Just like sportage.

Cerato or possibly a sub 4 million small crossover study was conducted. A small crossover with mid 3 Million range will not only hurt the sedan sales [ civic and Corolla] but also Can attract buyers who are currently looking for Yaris or possibly the upcoming City.

Cerato vs Seltos debate is an old one but I think that both have a lot of potential. Our market is still very accepting of sedans so Cerato should not be completely ruled out. Seltos is also very compelling as it can open even more avenues for KLM, so we'll have to see..

You should also know that Lucky has Peugeot license and there is possibility that the under 4 million product might be something from Peugeot.

Peugeot only has a 2008 that fits the bill. 3008/5008 are more expensive and would compete with Sportage which Lucky would never want.
Coming to the 2008, it's really small and competes with the likes of Nissan Juke. Don't think it would be a great choice over Cerato or Seltos.

Lucky also dont want to cannibalize their own product which can happen in case of Cerato vs Sportage. As of Seltos, its not cheap and starts only couple of thousand below Sportage as base and infact overlap Sportage at certain trim levels. I don't think Lucky can produce it below 4 Million mark. Our market is governed by the price point more than a segment in which a vehicle fall.

I think Kia Stonic might be something they can bring. Public will go for anything which is raised / suv / crossover. Kia success is bringing new things to market which they did in case of Sportage.

As of Peugeot, I think we might see just some commercial cargo Van's. Well let's see what's cooking. Cerato might not be out of equation but as per most recent reports, it was a 50/50 chance.

Facelift cerato spied inside-out. This one seems to be a lower trim with different wheels and without LED lights unlike previous test mules.

The grille is going to be updated with looks borrowed from Optima. It also has red accents like current Cerato GT.

According to the table, Cerato (K3) facelift to be revealed in April this year.

Some speculation:
"The exterior is known to resemble the medium-sized sedan K5. It is characterized by emphasizing the sharp impression using a low and wide posture and sharp line processing. It is known that the design of the headlamps dug into the grill, the fog lights, and the bumper design as if grabbing the intake vents are also similar to the K5. Stonic's three-segment LED, which has recently been partially changed overseas, is also reflected. It is known that the engine will maintain the existing 1.6 liter gasoline, but will add a 1.6 liter hybrid mounted on the Elantra. The Elantra Hybrid achieved a combined maximum of 141 horsepower and a combined efficiency of 21.1 km/ℓ. The new K3 is expected to be released in April."
