The monkey got steel rims, a generation old. The trip meter buttons literally are so so confusing on steering the least they could do was to give steering multimedia controls to add wow factor.
They did not add a single extra option which could add wow factor to it and one choses it over cultus by adding 50k more lol. They did strip off alloy rims to make themselves stupid though.
Ive had the pleasure to drive this. The cars manual tranny is rubbish if you compare it with cultus. Cultus manual tranny is best in pakistan i would rate it as good as honda civic manual tranny. The sheer short shifting and lubricated gear shift feel cant beat cultus.
Picanto has severe amount of body roll, the car is opposite to cultus when comes to cornering. Cultus has no body roll even if you turn it on a curve at 60.
Picanto plastic is alright but nothing out of this world just same as cultus although fitting of panels is only slightly bit better mainly because the car is 93% CKD and not a bit localised yet.
Picanto over all felt and looked small to me really if you compare it with cultus. To be the cabin felt the same size as new alto .
Picantos engine feels responsive until you put it in gear and drive it. After that it feels like you are driving a morgue car. Brakes are responsive and the steering feels planted which is nothing new cutlus offers the same.
Oh btw do not i repeat do NOT expect wonders in terms k
Of fuel efficiency from picanto. Expect 10-11 from auto tranny and 12-14 from manual tranny. These are local driving figures. Cultus has surely spoiled us by giving 19+km/l figures local driving with AC on a manual tranny and cultus AGS auto tranny achieves the same.
Kia could have added tiny options to have that edge over cultus and try selling a korean tech OVER proven japanese tech and reliability by giving
Multimedia steering buttons.
Retractable side mirrors.
Projection front lamps
Rear led lights.
Parking sensors a reverse cam or both.
A nice android unit which costs mere usd100.
Kia has a unique patented pollen and other filteration air con. They could have given that i would be the first one to buy this car for my mum as she has pollen allergy.
List goes on and on. Enjoy 2 12v ciggerette lighters to light one ciggy for yourself and the other for the hype train on which everyone was aboard.
