Down the lane one and half year, now the situation is worse. The dealership people have no idea, and make ambiguous statements, may be next week or may take longer, your choice colour is late. Definitely there exists no system of prioritising the Q. KIA is also ruining its reputation as the BIG THREE Pharaoh we had.

Brothers me in same situation. I was told delivery of my vehicle in first half of April 21,which changed to second half. Now the dealership is not even sure when. KIA is behaving no better than the Big three of Pakistan. There is no consumer protection in Pakistan. One can not complain to any authority except your heart burn.

Exactly in same situation. As a desperate effort I have warned them to deliver my vehicle by 07 May, 21 or return my money. If somehow, around 20 people cancel the order which make around 10 Karor Rs., ( 5 Million X 20= 100 Million ) that will set their mind right. But no body will do it except me. I request all such customers to threat them to retrieve their booking money.

I think the delayed deliveries are associated with covid related reduced labor working hours and number of individuals in the factory.

If that is truly the case than we all must be patient since its a global phenomenon and we must all be considerate about it.

These are desparate time , we need to be patient. Reduced working hours, global freight and chip crisis. Kia has been examplary so far in pakistan , lets give them some benefit of doubt.

Update from yesterday
I checked from a source in Kia. They are saying that production of AWD is starting this week, whereas there is no decision on production of Alpha and FWD. So, no idea when will it start and when will delivery be given

Aoa everyone. I had a query about Sportage AWD oil change from KIA. My car is approaching 5000km and Kia suggests I use Shell Helix 5W30 Blue Box provided by them.
I've always used Liqui Moly fully synthetic in all my cars.

Is this oil good? Also, they specifically said you cant use your own oil.

Good or not, you use any other oil, your warranty goes for a 6. It's unfortunate but this is how it is

They aren't telling anything at all. Non availability of chips is their excuse

stick to what the company is listing. I think the shell you mentioned is semi synthetic and not fully syn. the issue here is that all these cars are with vvt and hydraulic engine parts which are dependant and sensitive to oil types. So god forbif anything happens in someones car and the person is not using the designated oil, the company will cry foul and declare the warranty void.

Salam everyone! I have booked my FWD only last week. Looking at some of the posts on the delayed deliveries and halting of production at KIA, and then the news of a second fire on Kia, I feel terrible now for having booked a KIA car. This has got me worried a lot, really. However, the purpose of this post is to request information on what communication happens post partial booking for a car at KIA if anyone could share. I only have two pieces of paper, the PBO and a copy of pay order valued at Rs. 1.7 mil. I have always been a used cars driver so am not much educated in the things that one should take care of while booking a new car in Pakistan. Will appreciate any responses.
