driven 100 kms total by today.The average is pity shit.Giving 6-7 km/l which is a surprise. I guess it will stay the same till the 1st service.

The unit is bigger 8 inch.The unit has a lot of features when connected to phone.Pretty basic when not connected. Runs bluetooth well. With connection you can acess maps/spotify but no youtube which is a bummer really.

I have decided to get it coated.More on that soon.

I booked my AWD on september 29th 2021 with full amount and delivery time is march 22, as a heard that prices have been increased. will I exempt to pay difference amount

They will take take full price from October bookings if you have not made full payment before 7 November.

My cousin booked awd in June for November delivery on full payment. He is being asked to pay the difference or take the refund by deduction . 5% deduction is 270,000 rs anyways. He has calculated that his interest would amount to almost to 125,000 rs so the difference he would pay is 255,000 approx.

LMC should have at least given customers with deliveries after October' 21 a grace period of up to a week to make balance payments and avoid the price increase.
My vehicles were booked more than two months ago in last week of August' 21 with tentative delivery for Feb'22. ON money on Sportage was around 3.25-3.5 lakh at that time. A well wisher talked me out of getting them on On money, which led me to book the vehicles. And look where I stand now.

It's no sheer coincidence that all assemblers increase prices one after the other in a span of a few days or in some cases hours. It's a classic case of cartelization and consumer exploitation.
Enough said.

they have probably havent delievered 1 picanto in old price. all bookings of updated(reduced) price were given timeline of Jan or Feb for delivery and now they have increased prices. so almost 100% of the buyers will be actually paying more price instead of reduced price.

Some dealers are exempting 5% deduction, he should not pay 5% cancellation charges in any scenario, especially after the company has utilised his money for 5 months. KIA has enforced a very unfair price hike, especially on customers who booked in June/July with delivery time November/December. They took advantage of government's tax reduction which led to a record number of bookings in July..gave them all Nov/Dec delivery times. Now forcing the same customers to pay more...they would never have had these bookings in the first place. One gentleman booked in June with Oct delivery date, but he changed his booking from FWD to AWD which changed his delivery date to December and liable to price increase. Very poor move by KIA. They should take a cue from Toyota Indus who are applying price hike on new bookings only.

Absolutely this is cartel behaviour and Competition Commission of Pakistan is nowhere to be seen. And it's not just the timing and applicability of price hike but also the amount. how can KIA justify over 200000 increase in a 1.8 million vehicle (Picanto)? Toyota isn't even increasing that much for Corolla. Picanto customers are most affected since there are some who are waiting for delivery since April even.

They Have not given a single fwd or awd delivery on old prices. When reduced Prices were announced On July 5,Fwd delivery was in Nov and awd delivery was in Dec.

They have not given any relief to customers on account of fed decrease for both models.

Even customers with prior bookings who were invoiced and received cars after FED decrease, they are still awaiting refund cheques. But those who were attracted by new prices, not a single one would get it at that price, except Alpha customers. I guess I am one of the lucky ones as apparently they have exempted fully paid October deliveries, but still my sympathies are with those already booked.. especially the ones with November/December delivery and waiting since 5-6 months.

How come? You're paying 44 for a body shell a engine and a gear that's all.
I'm amazed how people can afford 44 and not add 4 5 more and get a decent featured vehicle.

Body and a shell? And what exactly is Civic and Corolla compared to it then? It has all the basic comfort features, crossover, good sound proofing, powerful engine, automatic AC, 6 speed AT, Android Auto/Apple Carplay, cruise control and basic safety features like airbags, ABD/EBD. FWD was costing 500k more for a sunroof and brake hold basically. These are not must have features. The only real miss in this car imo is Vehicle Stability Control. Other than that you get the same features as a Grande or Civic.

Not to mention that it wasn't just 500k more for FWD, it was also 2-3 months extra delivery time, which was my main concern. Turns out my concern was correct. Alpha puranay rate pe mil rahi hai FWD new rate pe deliver ho rahi hai. That makes the difference 860k. Big big difference.

Very Happy with what I have Thank You. Got the alpha at 4520 in my home some 9 lacs cheaper than what fwd would have costed me if I booked that on the same day i booked alpha. Not worth a 9 lac difference

Only feature I count missing in this car is sunroof. That's about it. All the extras may be useful to others but i essentially drive in karachi city and have a revo for offroading in North. Hence hill assist, traction control, vsc are not that important to me for city drives

Also it is a very silly assumption that people can afford 44 they can afford 5 more and spend 49. Where does it end? If you can spend 49, might as well spend 5 more get AWD. Why stop there, just add 3 more for MG HS. Aisay kartay kartay Land Cruiser aa hi jaye gi. Alpha is positioned to be an upgrade to Grande/Civic. That is exactly what I was looking for..37-38 budget and in the end stretched it to 44 which is really the max limit for me. For most customers, they can only stretch the budget up one category, like Civic to Alpha. No one can stretch it 2 or 3 times unless koi property dealer ho or something.

I agree with the two comments above me. I got Alpha two months ago and I have driven it approx 2200 km, including a recent trip to Islamabad and back to Lahore.

Its great value for money, and definitely an upgrade from civic. Although I am not an expert when it comes to cars, it's a very comfortable ride. Better road presence than civic as well (I personally don't care about that crap)

I think its giving me better mileage than a FWD aswell. I had around 12.7km on the motorway and accumulated just over 10km

You could say the same for FWD users.
They're paying 5-6 lacs more just for a glass roof which they'll rarely use and a bunch of LEDs which they'll never see coz they'll be driving the car from inside not outside.

Got my FWD booked through Bank Islami back in May 2021. They gave me delivery month of September. Gave 15% of total price (735k) to the bank at the time of booking, however, the bank had made the full payment to LMC. Then in July end, I decided to change the color to Black and I emailed the dealership + the bank about my decision to change the color. Feb. 2022 was the new delivery date given to me. Yesterday got a call from the bank to deposit the remaining equity amount as the vehicle arrived at the dealership, and at the same price on which they booked. Hopefully will get the delivery either tomorrow or the day after, in sha Allah.

you just got lucky as bank usually book extra units for customers and they are giving one to you. No one who booked in july end has gotten car at old price
