Yes two different owners reported same issue, maybe vehicles were from one batch. Or other owners need to expose their cars to torrential rains to assess if panoramic roof is properly sealed.

KIA warranty claims are very difficult to handle. I will be sharing an issue with one of owner soon. Kia declined the warranty.

Update on leakage:

KIA dealer fixed one of the vehicle under warranty. There was problem with the rubber seal ALTHOUGH the biggest issue is that KIA declined to replace the stained headliner which happened due to this leakage. This is ridiculous and does not make sense. Need confirmation about headliner and I have asked someone to check and confirm.

BTW this is typical KIA Hyundai warranty coverage behavior. I remember @Xulfiqar once explained it in detail as well.

Remember the kia cadenza maybe I got the name wrong... (fancy sedans)

They had severely loose windshields because the god damned robot that applies the sealer to glass was not calibrated at factory, the glass would pop up when doors were shut.

So KIA in their genius concept of warranty reglued the windshield and didnt care that a few assorted modules and a bunch of wiring was corroded to hell. - all that jazz was left for the owner to pay for.

Lol, cartoonishly stupid approach from a manufacturer. Ive seen similar issue in one caddy escalade but GM replaced a lot of items on it. The leak was from the sunroof tray though, as their windshields are pretty solidly glued

It is really sad to see this happening in a brand New car that has been hailed for its built quality.

What is even worse is what we are hearing regarding the behaviour of the company. With this behaviour I think we are better off with imports.

You contact dealer

With car imported under passport stamp by used car dealer,
If you get leak, you cannot contact selling dealer.

Fazal bhai, I had bought Sportage based on your and other seniors' valuable comments and feedback last year. Your inputs and feedback matter a lot. Please keep doing that and don't be bothered by some very very possessive minds and owners.

Kia Sportage is a best value for money option in Pakistan currently, in my view. Such incidents are one-offs but should be treated well and with all seriousness by Kia. So far I haven't faced any issue Alhamdolillah. And so is the case with all the known ones who have bought Sportage. This vehicle and model has got a very good response so far, lets hope it will continue. But Kia Motors response towards one off issues should be quick and effective.

Sportage GT Line can be expected in Pakistan

This is CKD and in use by the KIA executive. Nothing new is coming. GT line is a 2.4L and I don't see a 2.4L engine in a CKD Sportage. On KIA Sportage page a guy just posted this picture with an anticipation.

A 2L GT line can be more of an aesthetic upgrade with some options BUT again , I am told by an individual who owns a dealership that there is nothing as planned at this time.
