Kindly Share your bike's GPS speed

While the GPS was showing 110kmph the speedometers of Two GS150s and Deluxe were showing 120kmph. Then we sync'd the GS150 speedometer with Suzuki Liana and it was exactly the same. I guess the GPS speedometer does not show the correct speeds.

How many SATs were lokking at you device (locked) when you tested, it all depends on them, if 6+ SAT are locked i had correct reading all the time but if it loses signal from any SAT and Total SATS become less then 6 then i see wrong and most of the time less speed reading on Device.

it gives very accurate reading at 12 locked SATs though.

Although my GPS had 7 or 8 SATs locked while this speed was caught but still i doubt its correctness as it always show 7-10 kmph less than ride's own speedometer. What is your experience with GPS speedometer?

I have noticed if its not less then 6~7 SATs it gaves the correct reading but little late... like after few mili-seconds or in some cases may be seconds until it receives another signal echoed back by SAT, I tried to check it with CULTUS I noticed while slowly moving say at speed for 30~40kmh it was showing correct speed with in few mili-seconds but then I speeded up to 120+ kmh and noticed that car reached 120 and GPS showed 120 after few or more seconds late until it received the signal from SATs, so it give reading late on bike too as bike accelrate much faster then cars ( but as my bike merely reaches 100kmh very slowly ) so GPS stays correct because it gets enough time ... heh hehehh e ...

So all in all this is true that GPS requires a bunch of seconds to calibrate correct reading with at least 6~8 Sats in range as i think.

yaar, I was not expecting this from at least you. I think you recently had an accident and got some serious injuries while riding bike below 60km/hr (lines quoted from your own thread), would you kindly tell the impact if you were riding at 100km or plus ? These two wheelers rather all machines are not trust worthy as they can betray you any time (shared my personal experience in next post), so why to put your own life on danger . . . . . ?

Do wash your eyes and read again.. The accident happened while off-roading.. I strongly suggest you to read the thread again before getting yourself further embarrassed..

I myself own a CG-125, approximately 2 years back while going to Khanna Pul from Faizabad, near Iqbal Town my bike's engine switched off after a huge jerk and bike's rear tyre made a zig zag pattern on main road from iqbal town to kuri road and the speed of the bike was around 85km/hr and I was just like k """aaj tou gaya""". a motorcyclist just stopped who was I think seeing all this from behind said "Bhai ghar jaa k sadqa daina, aaj kisi ke duain kaam aa gain aap k". after that day, whenever I try to accelerate my bike, my family especially my mother's face come infront of my eyes and us k baad saara josh automatically thanda ho jaata hai .

While achieving 110km/h on CG125.. Us waqt maan ka chehra samney ni aya tha?? Yaan us waqt glasses lagaye huey they ???

Its not like that .. Infact its not that.. I topped my bike to 106km/h while CG topped at 110km/h

For the difference of 4km/h i have

1. Front disk brake
2. 5th gear to lower engine vibration
3. Wide rear tyre for extra road grip
4. Wide rear brake drum for braking.
5. Good compression ratio

So iam perfectly in same limits. . Still iam more inclined towards comfort ride than performance horse.

My friend owns a Deluxe (very badass, i must say) and while my CG was doing 110km/h, the Deluxe was ahead of my CG and Two GS150s (Like a Boss). So i don't believe that you even compromise on speed while buying a Deluxe.

You are right bro. But You don't have those 5 things for a difference of 4km/h, you have those because you paid 20K more than i did!

I have a question, how is the Compression Ratio of your engine better than CG's engine?

I have chosen these not because of i paid 20K more.. I chosen piaggio cuz i dont wanted to have the bike that every 3rd person in Pakistan has.. No hard feelings. Stick to topic and i hope this ends the discussion..

My Bad! I thought you own a Deluxe that's why i asked about the compression ratio. And come on brother! do you really think i don't know about compression ratio?

I am not here to fight with any one or start a useless discussion, I think I didn't said that you were riding bike on-road at the time of accident. I only pointed about impact, rest you can do anything which I have already said in response to one comment above.

I think didn't said at any forum /post that I had never ride bike above 60km/hr. There are some incidents in everyone's life which changes mind set, I've changed mine that's why advising others. What if on that day I met an accident . . . . . ? That incident changed the way of thinking / analyzing the things for atleast me. What can i achieve by riding bike at top speeds ??? Nothing, brother this is only an advise. If you didn't like it, then do what ever you want to.

I duely agree with you Rafiq bhai yes some incidents are the Life shape changer and I really praise people who advise others not to take seriuos risks, I really appriciate you for that.
