So 3-4 days ago i decided to pick up a spare s3 for myself that was lying around. (Dad upgraded i didnt want to sell kept it for my self kinda spare).Did a complete factory reset on set and started using it but ive noticed lag. When i press the power button it takes 2 seconds to show up the lock screen and thats a lot of time for a cellphone.when i swipe to unlock it takes about same amout of time to unlock. I am using the cell phone as a secondary one and apart from bloatware there is only asphalt 8 and whatsapp. Any help would be appriciated

My phone has started lagging too. Same phone. But mine is over a year old.
they did a bad job in RAM management in S3. only way I found was to root

Is Power Saving mode active? It typically underclocks the CPU to save power at the expense of response time.
May be your phone is near Sudden death issue. I hope it won't happen to anyone phone.

Try doing hard resetI have done that on my S III after 1 yearSolved my problem
Just sell it off if u dnt want to face the sudden death issue. Give a hard reset just for confirmation if it still has some juice in it. If nothing goes in the favour aftr that even just sell it off

By hard reset u mean powering the phone down and then pressing the volume button down and power button and performing the reset. If thats what u mean did that ready
Yes thats hard reset if nothing positive second thing would be to install a fresh copy of OS. Take it to a good mobile shop he will charge 500 rupees n ur phone will hav a new software. If that doesnt work aswell than sell it

Bro update your S3. And S3 usually takes around 1-2 seconds to show up lock screen after pressing home/power button.
I have version 4.3 updated it over the air will try updating through kies
I have android version 4.3. i checked my friend's s3 and it took his phone exactly the same time it took mine. More over he uses it as a primary phone. So i guess that u might be right
My samsung tab3 has become brick.... Does any1 know where to j tag it in lahore..even samsung authorise dealer don't diagnosed it.... Thanks
