LED lovers in bike and cars

LED means (light emitting diode) so today it is very commonly used every where....some people like to use LED in cars and bikes...for good look....so for those lovers some lesson about led ...how to use it...
LED operates on 1.5 volt to 3 volt maximum more then 3 volt can damage LED so for that purpose RESISTORS are used to limit the current and voltage....

first lesson to glow led....
this circuit shows that 9 volt battry connected to led through (470 ohm) resistor(i recommend to use 1 kilo ohm resister inted of 470 ohm) ....no matter 1 kilo ohm resistor can also be used insted of 740....
if battry is 12 volt so 1 kilo ohm resistor must be used insted of 470....in same circuit....
led has positive and negative terminal so if led dosn't glow in one direction then change it direction.....

2ND LESSON TO GLOW LED
1:this is the physical shape of LED and leg direction + and -.....

2:this fig show symbol of led it is used in electronics to represent LED...

3:this diagram shows how to use led with 12 volt battry....


..now u can make every type of LED circut if u want more led then add more led to circuit along with 1 kilo ohm resistor....as shown in fig 3

4:this figure shows resistor of 1 kilo ohm...resistor have no direction u can use it in any direction..


NOW EXPERIMENT AND ENJOY U WOULD LEARN IT SOON...

welcome to pakwheels, nice lessons BTW, but one resistor with one l.e.d is not economical, we can use 5,4 or 3 l.e.ds in series with one resistor only, in that way we save some $$ and solder too.

1:yes we can use 1 resistor with many led but it will decrease intensity of led.....we can do many thing but it go complex and every one will not understand it so i suggest simple work that every one can do...
2:led have many advantages..eg...it use 1.5 to 3 volt to glow..it lighter in wight and smalled in size..and it is cheap...1 led cost 1.5 rupee and more led will cost less....

led are attractive light emitting diode thats why people use this in cars and bikes and in many other things.....thats why Audi R8 uses LED parking lights and many other manufacturers use LED in back lights and in indicators and in interior of cars....

well another thing abt LED is that it only consumes 1/4 watts of current where as conventional bulbs in cars consumes 5 watts and above.........

another thing is that value of resistor also depends on the light of LED which is being used eg. Crystal Red LED requires 1.5 volts to glow where as Crystal White requires abt 3 volts to glow and so on......So value of resistor depends on current which is required to be supplies to the LED....

have also done work with them and although it doesnt show much of a difference but in long run u will understand the benefits regarding the longer life of ur battery

There are several advantages of LEDs over bulbs. The main advantage is that they consume less power( current) thus can be lit with a small battery.Longer life and of course less heat dissipation.

The LED technology is growing fast in the wake of energy saving, in automotive they put less load on battery and wiring.In the areas where there is no electricity LED lights are being used with the solar power OR wind power energy.Due to less consumption and low operating voltage they lit up for several hours with the solar charged battery

i also made this circuit long time ago but LED were not so much glowing so was a flop DIY for me... if u have a good circuit for connecting atleast 10 LEDs then let me know
