Dear bro, when consider the temperature for winters, read its range. And damage it causes to engine. Do some self research on this.
On the other hand thicker oil means low oil volume flowing in constant time since oil is thicker. So this constant exposure to less oil in winters make the parts starve, wearing them alot quicker... So noise is because your crank cam and piston pins have faced great amount of wear and it's creating noise now.. Now this noise will be more even on 10w40 or same but it won't become less now.
20w50 is like a heroine. Your engine can't leave it. Pee kar b marna hai nai peyega tab bhi marega.
And pressure in thin oils is suppose p(psi)
So pressure in thick oils will be 2p(psi)
