yes i did ,,,do this

1-first mark holder shape on paper as shown in pic
2-cut the paper
3-stick it on light
4-now just mark that shape on plastic
5-remove the paper and u will see marks
6-now remove that area it won't be very clean cutting n no need to clean just put holder and cut if required.

(you have to cut the plastic )

the space is only meant for 5W bulb - do not try to put a larger bulb in there it will be too close to the plastic lens rendering it quite useless - as the best reflection is when the bulb sits deep in the reflector. btw - the function of this is to illuminate the corners of the lenses not for brake application.

If you think that you need a more loud approach - install a high mount brake light on the rear glass.

dear I will ask him if this is possible. I think the socket is only for 5w bulb as suggested by Xulfiqar bahi. If we put the heavy bulb it might cause damage to the plastic cover of light due to its close proximity.

I was just curious to know that is it the circle on the right where the bulb will sit after cutting the plastic?

yes - thats the blanked hole from the plastic mould.

Do a favour to yourself - get a can of white paint and paint the reflector white, Black light reflector is like making biryani with bad rice and equally bad meat cuts like spare ribs or tail

I have also installed a halogen bulb for the reverse light - it provides great illumination but you need a relay as the little switch on the gearbox cannot take the load. You dont need to worry about heat as the duration is very short. You dont run the car in reverse all the time.

blue spark is the bulb just hanging inside the tail lamp or is it locked in place with a holder? (is the holder locked at the hole)

No dear, bulb is fixed.Its not hanging from anywhere. All you need is cut little plastic, and then squeeze the holder in. use little ELFY if you feel is not tight enough to fix it properly.

That to me is not open, its broken. Why you pulled the light off like that? Now you need silicone stuffing>?

Why not open the entire light juts as my bro did??
