Looking for a dashcam in 25k range

Hi,
I am looking for an economical dashcam. After doing some research and reading a number of reviews, I think my best bet would be to go for a 70mai A800s 4K dashcam.
Garmin and Viofo's budget dashcams don't have GPS.

The only sad part is that 70mai is delivering its dashcams via AliExpress in 21-39 days with no tracking available.

Some queries:
- How much do I have to pay to customs for a dashcam worth 20k?
- What if the item doesn't reach me but it's sent by the seller?
- Should I avoid using AliExpress and purchase some other 4K dashcam available in Pakistan on different websites?

Which 4k dashcam do you guys recommend?

Dashcams are used in world mainly for insurance cases. You may be need it for recording your journeys. your smart phone have built-in GPS so you need not to worry.

70 mai pro is available on daraz , so just get it from there without getting into all these complexities

1. Custom varies on product to product. You can download the customs duty sheet and find the appropriate category which any items falls under and a percentage will be mentioned.
   Below 5000pkr value there are no taxes which is why most people and some sellers as well purposely mark your package value less than that to avoid taxes.
2. If the item doesn't reach you, you can create a dispute on AliExpress and you will get a refund after providing them a letter from post office that item has not arrived in pakistan (Only for expensive items)
3. It is your choice ultimately

You can use (CTRL+F)(Search) for that.

AliExpress k items usually dont arrive due to wrong address put in by the people. In the cases of right address as well there are still black sheep among Pakistan Post who steal your package.

I use aliexpress regularly because i order so many items that are not available in Pakistan anywhere

Dashcam is not a common item in Pakistan so you cant find any incredibly great product liken nextbase etc, you have to get them imported.

Also, there is no software update for the 70 mai pro. You'll have to root the device to update it.

It's not available on Daraz or any website here in Pakistan. A800 4k kay liay AliExpress se hi order krna hoga jo kay ik alag issue hai

70 mai pro is an excellent dashcam. It's only downside is the software... xiaomi has no firmware upgrade system or policy for Pak

I ordered 70mai a800 from Ali express on 1st of December and received it on 5th of January through aliexpress standard shipping. I had concerns about customs as well, however after various failed attempts through Daraz I decided to jump the gun. I had to pay no custom duty but as per my understanding it totally depends, sometimes you get lucky and the other times you're asked to pay custom duty. In my opinion, a800 is far superior from 70mai pro which I had previously installed, plus the option of rear camera is a must have.

Yeah, probably that's the only place it's available for now. Do watch out for a800s, apparently 70mai has discontinued the a800 & is launching a800s with same specifications but different chipset. From what I understood based on brief research, the chipset in a800 was costing more.

Also, another thing to watch out for, in the initial software of a800 they only offered 2k resolution if both the front and rear camera were connected. However this new software update in Nov, now it records it can record in 4k while the rear camera is attached (1080p). However there is no parking surveillance mode now & is only available if you purchase this separate hardware kit. So place order for the combo if parking surveillance is absolute necessity.

Found a hack (firmware) for A500 Pro Plus on a dashcam forum.
A800 is costing a lot as the discount offer is no longer valid.
