Lowering springs help..!

dont cut of coils from orignal springs it has plenty of drawbacks like wombling at high speed etc and the hydraulic damper (shock absorber) is wornd out very quik ! better to use lowerings

non i would say
they are made for lowering
so why would be drawbacks ?
if u want them ill look around in pesh and ask about the price but estimate is 3-4k for kabali lowering springs branded ones

but compared to the height shown in pics what would be the difference wen lowered..?m using 225/45/r16s so any thought that the tire might touch the side body..?

lowering springs with shock absorbers ur reffering to coil overs !
the absorber with orignal spring is too compressed all he time ! the thing is that when u cut the orignal spring IT HAS MORE DISTANCE BETWEEN ITS COILS and when the spring becomes short then it becomes weak and absorber is wornout early ! the lowering springs HAVE LESS DISTANCE BETWEEN THIER COILS so they are a bit harder than the orignal springs ! and the absorber in stock spring is already compressed all the time as whole body wieght is on it ! when u jack the car u would observe that the shoch is being expanded so it is all the time compressed ! the reason for failing early is that the absorber goes up and down very much i.e when the spring is weak ! but with lowering springs as they are a bit harder and has less distance in coils so the absorber dosnt goes up and down too much ! i cant explain in writing anymore ! should be xplained best practically

Thats something you will have to compromise on, all aftermarket springs will be like this.

yar here is wat i found the guy told me to install stiffer springs or instal the adjustable springs on stock absorbers ! but coilovers mushkil hay ! ill go there in couple of days then i would ask him if any other coil overs could be fitted to 80 corolla

nope the tyres won't touch the fenders thats for sure coz i was using maxspeed lowering on my 7th gen. civic with 195/65/R15 tyres and i didn't had the slightest of problems. but bro as u mentioned u have 45 profile tyres with 16 inch rims, so don't u think it is bit too low profile, i mean 45 profile normally we see with 17 inch rims and i also used maxspeed springs on my 8th gen. civic aswell with 205/60R16 tyres and again didn't had any problems.

the ride obviously gets harder and it shud be or else won't enjoy the drive but i think in ur case u will feel the pain abit more with 45 profile tyres with 16'' rims. btw im going to share a link of my thread with u where u will come across endless pictures of my lowered 04 civic

other option is to get a shock absorber thats smaller in length than the stock one..

btw another member had 215/55R17 tyres with lowerings too on his 7th gen exi and he never faced the problem of tyres touching fenders.

bro go for branded lowerings, and this desi way is quite risky infact in the long run it wud cost u more bcoz u cannot sell ur ride with original springs shortened
