went to a lpg shop in G11
n damn lpg cant be relied upon,its rate keeps fluctuating, price per kg is 130rs, i asked him that i was told its 120rs, he said it even came down to 110 now its back upto 130 :o
though like @Azhar_isb he did said that if u buy a company's pre filled cylinder then u'll get 15kg cylinder for 1600rs which means 106rs per kg...bring ur empty cylinder n take the pre filled one
in that case one can just shift it himself like @faiz.aslam.121 mentioned, get a pump n transfer from cylinder to ur own cylinder in car

15kg cylinder alone was for 4k n then the company filled lpg for 1600 per 15kg

i asked him if they fill in cng cylinder, he said they dont n nor they know any1 who fills it in car

so there goes the experiment or just fill lpg cylinder n attach with cng pipe

Brother I converted to LPG with OGRA approved LPG Cylinder & Kit. Today is 4th day after installation & still doing great! I am hoping it will give me 550+ km in full tank of 24Kg. Will keep you all posted.

with that much pumps n nozzles, u definitely cant fill it up yourself like u proposed

even fsd got shops filling in cars, while here there isnt any, maybe because no one is getting it filled in their cng cylinders, no demand no supply

You can. There are different size of pumps, some have more power than others. You don't need one that does the job quickly, but more efficiently. So, opt for a smaller pump. Amount of nozzles? One pipe from LPG Cylinder, Valve to turn LPG off / on and one nozzle that connects to refilling point.

CNG kit might get damaged by LPG over the long run. People who are now using LPG in their car with CNG setup can comment better after using it for few months. Engine wear out level will remain the same for both CNG and LPG in my opinion.

You know Landi renzo was used to of manufacturing LPG kits under the brand name of renzomatic or so during 1982-1989 era. If you have any of that renzomatic LPG kit, you will find it is 100% identical to CNG kit except 1 difference, and that difference is high pressure valve. In LPG kit the pressure valve handling limit is 10bar, in CNG valve handling limit is 250-300Bar.....

Aslam mechanic in Sader Rawalpindi was use to of installing renzomatic LPG kits in 1984-1985 era. go to him a counter check.....

Just sharing my experience:
Last time in March, I visited Suzuki 3S workshop and there an APV came for service of CNG setup. The owner was telling that he was using LPG in cylinders the whole winter. But now that APV had got some problem with CNG kit and blah blah due to the constant drive on LPG. The workshop owner was quoting 25 to 30 thousand rupees for repair. I know very well that these kind of workshops charge double or triple for their work. But what in the first place went wrong with the van for driving on LPG? I didn't bother to interrogate about it as I was not interested in it. But in my opinion, LPG is perfectly safe to use. It was just his bad luck that this happened to him.

Come on my brother, the CNG kit cost you only 7000-10000 only how CNG guy was quoting 25000 to 30000 for kit repair only... Doesn't make any sense.... the LPG shop owner in tarlai (islamabad) told us that many hiaces are getting LPG in their CNG cylinders since 18 months... no problem reported yet...

A friend of mine has just started LPG in CNG cylinder, he is Engineer with lot of experience.... he is not gonna go back to cng.....

4000 for cylinder means that is security deposit and you will get it refunded when you give them cylinder back....
you have to do some work to find good price in islamabad as most (again most) shop keepers are not the distributors... they over charge you, actually this is the way the make money, they buy from distributor in cylinders and sells in retail.... the prices you got from G11 are retail price.... yesterday I managed to get 94.65/Kg price using bargain and showing industry knowledge to distributor.... you gotta do this... otherwise company price 1600/15 kg again is retail price not bad... 15kg cylinder is 1420 from agency, i got yesterday....

To try i would suggest you to get 20Kg pumped in CNG cylinder.... you wont regret.... Rate gonna be @120/Kg... you just have to pay for gas only.... if satisfied, then there are ways how to get cheep LPG from sources.

G11 guys dont fill in CNG cylinder.... only guy in tarlai... he pumps in hiace.... commercial hiace...

All right guys. from Lahore to Islamabad via motorway with full AC on... didn't stop AC for a single second... initial 15Km with AC was local Lahore ride... below are stats

Cylinder used 15Kg.
Traveled 308Km
cylinder weighted in islamabad and 2.75Kg of gas was still in cylinder.
cost of gas = 94.66/Kg (isb price) x 12.25Kg = 1159.5
Per Km cost = 1159.5/308 = 3.76/--Rs./Km

the cheap LPG shop guy said we cant give you back 2.75kg of gas or you bring empty cylinder....
So per km cost using 1420 cylinder (consider 2.75 waste as I dont have any mean to pump by myself) is as follow.
1420/308 = 4.61.............. Still way cheaper than petrol

Cant beat guys..... much economical than CNG..... no queues/lines...

Last winter i got 2 15Kg cylinder for domestic use as sui gas wasn't enough for cooking..... I am not gonna get those cylinder refunded for money, my car will keep em for long enough I belive

i still dont understand why gas is left inside? home cylinders never leave any gas inside, in case of car, the constant shaking should not leave behind any gas at all

No effect on engine... Actually engine perform much better on LPG. Japan is 2nd biggest auto LPG user country... they use to control emission..... Korea is biggest auto LPG user in world....

REASON 1. Your Govt/OGRA want to crook....they just want public money get wasted. they tried to sell LPG idea to replace whole CNG, they failed, then they tried to sell LNG kits idea they failed... now they will sell you high priced LNG in same sui gas pipe lines.

Reason 2. High pressure valve in CNG kit is the only difference in both kits. confirm it from some qualified engineer who has hands on experience. High pressure valve is slightly expensive. 2nd difference is cylinder....

Tesla islamabad is selling local made LPG cylinder... that aint imported either..... game of OGRA and some xxxxx

even with increased rate, my cost is 4.6rs/km and i am getting cng whole week now so no need for lpg currently

But obviously, i have plans because cng situation is unpredictable now.
