I read in some thread on pakwheels from @xulfiqar, who has used Mercedes, Land cruiser with LPG, he probably got 300km/cylinder if I remember correctly

domestic cylinder is good choice because you can get it filled from any where in pakistan

Pumping LPG in CNG is good but you can get only from isb,lahore,faisalabad as per my knowledge

yea that would limit the choice esp for islamabad users, but then again even for domestic cylinders u'll go for pre filled one to save on cost, but on next re fill u'll have some 4-5kg left which will go wasted, or u'll end up getting whole 11kg at expensive rate like i got rate of 130rs n not even 120rs per kg
btw he didnt told me if 4k is security, he said cylinder costs 4k n 1600 is for the lpg, also cylinder wouldnt be in same condition so they may not refund

u know the easy way, get one 15Kg cylinder, for refill ask the price of 11.5kg cylinder which is 1100. ask him to pump whole cylinder in your 15kg cylinder... just pay him extra 100 for pumping fee.... u gotta be clever to get good prices...

secondly, cylinder condition doesn't matter as company use to of shuffling them.... nobody bothers about condition, actual security is 3800 i guess, this is what i paid last winter

drive to tarlai would cost you 120 rs. at the max... nothing to be counted for testing

I will try to get some good bargain price for pumped gas, so that we all can get LPG pumped in CNG cylinder.

further more you can get 25-35Kg gas pumped in cng cylinder. sufficient for 900-1000Km or more drive

u know the easy way, get one 15Kg cylinder, for refill ask the price of 11.5kg cylinder which is 1100. ask him to pump whole cylinder in your 15kg cylinder... just pay him extra 100 for pumping fee.... u gotta be clever to get good prices...

u got some 12kg pumped at the rate of 94 or u just bought full 15kg

i guess once lpg cylinder is set in trunk, u can easily remove the pipe of cng yourself, remove cylinder get it filled, place it back n join back with cng pipe?

on cng one km costs around 5.6rs where as petrol it costs some 12-13rs, i guess if u want to remove cng pipe from cylinder n shift to lpg cylinder then cylinder should be empty esp if u wanna fill lpg in cng cylinder, that means travel to either of places on petrol 21 x 12 = 252rs n then back on lpg, again some 5 x 21 = 105

for test purpose may as well do it, lets just see how much average you get in local drive, so u have filled 15kg for local drive?

my dad did approved this experiment of trying lpg domestic cylinder like u did but to be tested not before mid june when i'll get free n until u'll have done some local drives too

yea u did mentioned it has capacity of 40kg, without ac it should give atleast 15km per kg n that could last some 600km

You know what..... The only reason for the cylinder and kit being there while not being used is the possibility of shifting to LPG. Will check if can sale out the CNG cylinder alone and fix a 15KG LPG cylinder in the trunk.

We already have two cylinders in home btw, which are used during winters when stoves are dead. So no extra burden on my pocket

i still dont understand why gas is left inside? home cylinders never leave any gas inside, in case of car, the constant shaking should not leave behind any gas at all

btw there will be some burden, i.e cost of shifting cng pipe to lpg cylinder, round about 1.5 to 2k including 800rs labour

Yes I bought full 15kg cylinder @ 94.
again yes, you can easily remove LPG cylinder and refill, then put it back in trunk easily, hardly 5min job.

burning gas in home stove doesn't need much pressure.

1BAR = 14.5psi.

your home stove will keep burning gas until you have 0.4psi or so.
But your kit wouldn't work at that pressure, it will stop passing sufficient gas to engine at such low pressure. normally kit works at above 14.5psi.

if there's cng while u shift its pipe to lpg cylinder, that wouldnt leak, would it?
