Hello,

I went for an oil change and came to know that OEM oil filter (16510-84MA0 Japanese) for Alto 660cc wasn't available at dealership. They asked me to use (16510-67LA0 Thailand) which is intended for WagonR/Cultus, they said it's same size and can fit as the 84MA0.

Just wanted to ask, should I wait for the 16510-84MA0 or go for 16510-67LA0? Also, which oil to use (0w20, 5w30 or 10w40)? First oil change at 5000 was 10w40 and now it is at 10,000 KMs at ODO.

is your vehicle under warranty? Best oil grade is 0W-20 or 5W-30 if you are in sindh & summer peak temp goes to 48C

16510-67LA0 is Indonesian. not Thai
Thai is 16510-84M00, which is for swift, made by denso, which lacks anti drain back valve

yes both have similar specs, like by pass valve pressure, both have anti drain back valve, only difference between two is 2 mm Outer dia, Inner gasket dia and outer gasket dia, which is not an issue
you can use 16510-67LA0 for alto, for lifetime, with peace of mind

I don’t have a warranty issue but am using Toyota 0w20 fully synthetic Taglon Supreme in my Vitz 2018 1 KR with 7,500 km interval. This was to ensure genuine filter and oil.
I’m in Karachi and next oil change is around 5,000 km away. Would this be an issue in summers?

yamaha pak recommends 3k for semi-synthetic, although personally, I prefer fully synthetic for 3k like zic m9
yamaha pak FB post, same is recommended in user manual too

U can use 10w40 but monitor the oil level regularly

Engine health is pretty good. I have this car since last two years. Before I used 10w40 then 20w50 due to advise of stupid machinic. The recommended oil grade for Toyota Corolla GLI is 5w30 or 10w30. Please advise
