As @Mun33b said, you poured the wrong oil grade as a band aid for supposed oil consumption. You should have done a compression test at that time, checked for leaking seals, bad pcv, etc. An engine does not one day start consuming oil, it's a gradual failure.
Also, if it was a light oil consumption because of worn rings, that is completely normal for an engine of said mileage and did not warrant the usage of a thicker grade oil.
Get your vvti cam gear and valves checked, The first failure is bad valve lifters or buckets (dabbu), can easily be done on the same head setup. you will probably need a set of new valves too, and a head gasket. Please only buy new OEM parts, or as close to OEM as possible.
