Caltex 5w30 fullt Synthetic
Pso carient 5w30 fully synthetic
All are oils available in market in 5w30 catagory in fully synthetic
With difference of about 1000 in their prices.
I need a recommendation for a honda city 2014 1 lac km.
The car is used for about 500-1000km per month approx in lahore city traffic.

this recommendation is probably for semi synthetic sgo
prefer 2k kms with fully synthetic. like zic m9 or liquimoly

I was using total 0w20 in 14 model vezel and had good experience

Currently have a 2015 every turbo, everyone recommends 10w40 which is incorrect for R06A engine. So I switched to total 5w30. So far so good. Engine noise has reduced, efficiency has increased slightly and hasn't burned any so far.

I'm happy with total.

As long as engine health is good, you should be ok.

You can go for synthetic oil and 5w30 or 10w30 grade.
As I am using 5w30 Fully synthetic in my civic 2000 without any issues.

Hello gentlemen. i have a toyota altis 1.6 2016 model and when i bought it from toyota sure 3 years back they poured toyota 20w50 in it at 68000 KM. around 9 months back i read on this forum and asked a different mechanic who advised to go for toyota petron plus 10w30 so i did and it worked pretty fine, no oil consumption and average got better as well. now i am thinking about getting rid of toyota monoply in oil and planning to change the brand to caltex havoline which has 10w30 available however the grade is API SN GF-5. as per my reseach it is an upgraded technology in grade but i seek your technical expertise and advise to confirm it. should i go for it? or any other budget friendly brand or grade? also are there any other precautions that i need to take? also i plan to use leppon filter this time around. toyota stuff is getting expensive everyday.

Go for it, if it isn't reducing oil. Also what average did you get with 20w-50 and now what average dies the car give? Tank to tank would be appreciated

The previous avg was somewhere 8.5 and current is somewhere around 10.5 tank to tank basis

if budget is not the issue, go for caltex havoline 5w30 fully synthetic and thank me later. sourcing is important. get it from caltex company operated outlet only.

yes its fine. oil change shops will insist you for 3.5 litres but the manual says 3.7 so stick with it.

I have purchased GLI 2011 with only 63400 milage, but the previous owner doesn't have any idea or record of last oil grade. I found an empty 20W-50 bottle from car, which means he has used a very high grade oil as compared to milage. Should I keep using same or downgrade to 10W-40???
