Yep use delo gold in a petrol engine and enjoy.

Check old posts of Xulfiqar. He used it in one of his cars and clocked over many hundreds km on that. Everyone feels bit surprised to know Oye…. Diesel engine oil in petrol engine

But its 100% confirmed that we can use delo gold where SL or SH/SG Grades are recommended.

First I used this delo gold in my Lancer 91

Later used in Baleno

Later used in Crown

Later in 80s

I also use Toyota genuine engine oil in a 1gd Hilux which is for both petrol and diesel engines. I didn't know that delo gold can be used like this too sorry.

Got satisfactory results with Guard Oil, though it is not very popular in Pakistan and no-one recommended it to me.
We have two cars at home Alto and Yaris. Both are run around 3500 each in 6 months. Using expensive oil and replacing at just 3500 km after 6 months seemed waste of money so tried the cheapest available synthetic oil in market i.e. Guard 5W-20 oil in both cars with Guard filter and so far, results are good. Alto engine noise reduced a lot. Pick remains good. Fuel averages remain good. All best three fuel averages (automatically recorded by Yaris meter) I got are while using Guard oil. Oil does not burn or reduce level. Only downside: Oil is a little bit darker than earlier oils after 6 months. Though still not blackish.

These units have a cooler donut which has oil and coolant lines, you can still flush from there.

Delo is a fleet oil, it carries both petrol and diesel ratings and is fantastic for cheap petrol engines.

The engines that we fill with delo products cost about equal to 20 brand new honda civics. Meaning if something goes bad due to oil, lawyers will get involved very quick.

Well i never used motor oils or ATF from guards yet.
but if you are using, then read the bottle and check from where they are blending these oils?
usually oil refineries does that for different vendors.

I have civic 2002 vti oriel, for last 1-2 years after i bought i used 20w 50 grade engine oil but now i came to know that grade is not recommended for that model, can i now change to 10w 40 or 20w 40?

Depends on engine. How long did you use 20w50 oil. Sometimes changing oil to lower grade (thinner oil) can cause seals leakage specially in older engines and generally it is not recommended.

Shift to Havoline 10w-30 without any issue.

It doesn’t matter which engine oil you were feeding it before.
You can shift back anytime. Absolutely no problems.

I bought my first Crown with 2JZ from a doctor and he was keeping it for 4 years and was feeding Havoline 20w-50

After buying instead of using gadgets like engine flush, I used delo gold ultra 15w-40 and ran it upto 3000 km in 1 month time. Since this diesel engine oil is SL grade and has strong detergents in it which has extremely good cleaning efficiencies.

After that I shift to ZIC 5w-20 and it was for an experiment to know that if it will leak or not. (Have mentioned here at these forums many time before.) But it went very well and there were absolutely no leaks. After running it upto 5k, I shift to 10w-30 and kept using it for next 3 years straight.

I was watching a video by a YouTuber named Awais Ur Rehman, who supposedly works at Honda Avenue. In one of his videos where he was changing the CVT oil, he mentioned that if the oil pan is opened and filters are changed, more than 3.5 liters would be needed after checking the levels. Is that true? I believe the car only comes with 3.5 liters of oil, so why would more be needed?

Hi, I recently bought a 2015 Altis 1.8 CVT with 105k km on the odometer. The maintenance records weren't available, but the previous owner confirmed the car was serviced at a reputable workshop. The owner has now moved abroad so I don't have his contact. So I no more find out what grade of engine oil was used.

Could you recommend the appropriate oil grade for this car? Should I have all the oils and filters changed at a Toyota dealership, or can you suggest a good workshop in Kri where genuine oils are available? I also need to change the transmission oil.

Expert advice would be greatly appreciated.
